  1. Well...looks like I forgot to post it here. Any Comanche's in colorado, if you are coming, bring a food or drink item to share. https://www.facebook.com/events/2075824452633033/?ti=cl
  2. I was thinking Friday late evening after 6pm till around 10pm, eat around 7pm. I have my son's birthday party on Saturday. I am organizing a car show for my work right now that happens on Sunday till around 3pm. Yes a group of Comanche's can show up at the car show, but some folks do not like setting foot on church property and I would like to be respectful of that. I don't know if any within the group feels that way at this time, but I have heard of it in some circles of friends that I have. More info about it here: https://cherrycreekpres.org/events/picnic-sunday/
  3. Yes, I know, I've been slacking a bit on Comanche stuff, been a little busy at work. Trying to get something together for Friday the 15th. The most difficult part is getting a location for 25ish people with their vehicles.
  4. Hey Pete, just saw this. I'm trying to get plans together on a meet and greet for the FB group Jeep Comanches of Colorado. We just hit 50 members, and growing weekly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1579580209030495/
  5. Tornadoes are not fun, I helped did some of the cleanup of the Joplin Missouri aftermath
  6. Leave it to Comanche club to entertain me after fb and Netflix has bored me. Nice!
  7. Ice is not thick enough, ice racing cancelled for this weekend.
  8. I'm guessing it is the tab to the brake light switch, either get a friend to solder the wire to the tab on the switch or put a screw through the tab to hold the connection together. I had this issue with a thermostat connection on a freezer. The vibrations from the compressor motor would shake loose the connection and the freezer would shut off.
  9. Caught this back in October of 2015 driving to work.
  10. New season is about to start, the first fun day is this next Friday (in 6 days) http://ourgangiceracing.com/schedule
  11. Show my hide around here soon...well, this thread 9 years...but ya, I've been around here off and on.
  12. Had BDS shocks on mine and wanted a softer ride and went for the RS9000XL's. They are set at 3 on the front and 1 on the rear, the ride is better than my LJ with OME shocks and thinking on switching the LJ over to the RS's. The rear of the MJ needs a little more weight for the shock, around 100lbs or towing a light trailer softens it.
  13. never seen the extended idle switch before, what does it do? ah google was a good friend this time.
  14. from some time ago when I was letting the tent get some dry air on the work lawn
  15. Yes, the sleeves are a bear when disassembly, I used a deep well socket.
  16. I've learned to take mine off if it goes through a car wash, but I don't do that anymore so I don't have to worry about it...I do the spray-it-yourself-place and towel dry it.
  17. Yes, they are monthly, they are normally with the Jeeps n Java meet. When are you planning on moving out here? Couple of FB links: Jeep's 'n Java https://www.facebook.com/groups/659485067495284/ And my group just for Comanche owners living in Colorado https://www.facebook.com/groups/1579580209030495/
  18. Today!
  19. Good idea, for the record I don't consider my neighborhood as "questionable" or sketchy, but it is near one of the LRT (light rail transit) stations in town, as such people from "questionable" areas tend to pass through it. I was in a similar neighborhood, not questionable per say, but near a light rail station and a walmart. Any time it got parked outside, it got a couple things done to it so it wouldn't budge without me "fixing" it...parking brake, 4-lo...it wouldn't go onto a tow truck without a fight.
  20. whenever I'm in a "questionable" area, I pull the fuel pump relay. The only way for someone to get it is to have another relay (most people don't want to troubleshoot a no start issue), or tow it. I also have an alarm and keep the doors unlocked, the alarm goes off when the door is opened.
  21. Here is the link to the facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/988713081224691/ Where: 3980 Limelight Ave, Castle Rock, Colorado 80109 When 5/21 8am-12pm Why: bring your comanche's! This morning is another, come out if you missed the last one. We will have 4 comanche's there so far. 8-12
