  1. Way to go, BJ!
  2. It’s weird and I dig it.
  3. Go with an aftermarket harness. I used to work at a shop that would have factory harnesses cut down and everything would work fine but sometimes we’d run into issues with the used connectors. A nice clean and new harness is just that and so much more... clean and new.

In terms of good taste in things that are tolerated, lets move the conversation here. So then, should someone want to go down this rabbit hole, would a Liberty flywheel and clutch work behind something like a 5.7 or is there a better factory parts combo assuming that there’s a crank sensor count difference from the flywheel? The link provided is a good example of how the parts look when they're all assembled but there's zero info on engine management or bell housing internals. Edit: Found another link to Manny explaining that he used a 3.9 bell housing from a Dakota, and a flywheel/clutch from a 4.7 Ram 1500. https://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1148528
  5. Good looking MJ. Welcome!
  6. Good morning, all. I’m currently waiting at a terminal for the typical holiday travel that so many of us put ourselves through. I choose to go back to Minnesota each year as the rest of my family also puts the effort in to make sure we’re all under one roof again at least once a year. I’m grateful for this. I’m also grateful for everyone here. While I haven’t posted a whole lot for a while, I’ve been around for over 13 years now. I recently was visiting my relatives where my truck has been stored for the past three years... it was like seeing an old friend. It reminded me of the bigger roles I once played here. Made me smile. Thanks to everyone around here who continue to keep things going and familiar here. Hope everyone here has a merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, celebratory Kwanza, a good Boxing Day, or whatever else you may or may not choose to celebrate.
  7. Hell yeah.
  8. Hell yes! I am 100% on board with this.

Thanks for hangin in there, cruiser. Keep your stick on the ice.
  10. Haven’t totally decided yet. I’d like to have a small wood stove once everything finds its place. For a constant heat, I’m leaning towards a small electric heater with a thermostat. That way I can keep a consistent 40-45* and then kick it up when I’m out there.
  11. Finally got the roof sheeting and ridge cap on today. Next on the list are the barn doors, soffits, and fascia trim.
  12. A long while back I recall someone moving their fuse box over to the passenger side footwell much like in the ‘97+ XJs. The member used a block from an ‘80s (I think) Cadillac but it’s just another GM box just like ours. I don’t see any issue with moving the box but I’m not sure if I’d put it under the hood unless it went into a sealed container. Here’s a quick how to on taking apart the fuse block chassis instead of cutting/splicing every wire: https://comancheclub.com/topic/45231-fuse-block-dissection/
  13. Haven’t looked here in a while. Glad I did! Great build so far.
  14. I’m going with more vertical pole barn tin for siding. Tan on top over a 42” lighter green wainscot.
