My springs arrived! I went with a Zone Offroad 2” YJ kit without shocks. Reason being is that Zone is under the Fox/BDS umbrella and I’ve heard great things about the ride quality and flex. These are more on the basic side though being they don’t have military wrapped eyes, but let’s say that this kit was also “cost effective”. With the addition of the Bilstein shocks, I’m hoping for good suspension performance. In the spirit of “cost effectiveness”, i decided to make some of the components I’ll be needing too. Shackle bushings and spring plates are on order. I considered making the plates, but the disgustingly rusty plate I had in mind isn’t big enough to get four plates out of it. Next on the list is making the shackles. Maybe I’ll start the suspension swap soon?… still not in a huge hurry. -

I finally got around to cleaning up my shop some and I forgot to put the truck’s “puppy pads” back under it. To my surprise this morning, there were no fresh leaks! The rear main started leaking from sitting for years but that looks like it came around! Another leak was coming from the oil pressure sender adapter. That got replaced recently. I can’t say I remember the last time I noticed that one of my Jeeps didn’t leak anything! -

Very cool! -
Yes! I’ve got a raised garden area I need to get to and a retaining wall down by the shop. Maybe work on trim in the house… maybe. Yesterday I used up some scraps and whipped up a new front step that I have been putting off for years. Needs a plant in the corner now.

Mad flex, yo.

Thats the joy of CJs! Mixing and matching parts while also cutting and modifying!
-
Are you sure thats a T19? There are a few Dana 300 shifter linkage combinations also. Mixing and matching sometimes requires making some clearance.

Rattle can rebuild on the Dana 300, eh?

Small update on the rain cover. I like when everything has a place when not being used so I made a small cinch bag for it. The bag is about 14” long when it has the top crammed in it. Fits under the seat next to the gear bags nicely also. The top itself got an additional strap on the rear corners after I noticed it riding up and collecting water after the rain we’ve been getting. -

Meh… I didn’t even notice until I got home. I’d rather keep the Sachs! … and the lowered suspension. -

Went for a bit of a drive today and met @cord367, his dad, and paid a visit to J.O.E. Great to see that old truck! They’re doing an awesome job updating the truck and they welcomed me to take some leftovers. These are the old axles from my old XJ. No idea what’s next for them, but I caught myself getting sentimental over how many rigs they’ve been in and how many miles I would’ve put on them. As for the Eliminator, it rode home on the bumps. … not like they had far to go before hitting them. -
What better way to stir the pot than with a V8, two door, IFS concept at Easter Jeep this year? I’m not at all suggesting that this is the final form, but I would say that it’s smart of Jeep to gauge interest with something wild like the Striker.

Great looking truck!!

My vote is for the widened silver rally wheels. I think they add the little extra punch of brightness.
-
I think that’s the shape needle for a tilt column.
-
Not the CJ stuff I was referring to, but thats definitely CJ stuff.
-
Congrats on the new rig!

Does your truck have a tilt column?
