  1. The bolts are metric and you can go to a bolt shop and get for around $2 each. I just got 4 about 2 weeks ago. As for the flange adapters, if it's the same size as on the Explorer it's one size to big for the MJ/XJ shaft but will fit TJ's. Charles

    new parts

Great looking job. Can not wait for my daughter to get through college so I can get another bike Been 18 months, 2 days and around 8 hrs that I had to sale my bike, not that I am keeping track :D Charles
  3. Yes, get adjustable. Charles
  4. Check out this web site: http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/re_db.html But at 6" you should be at 16" LCA and 15.5 UCA, stock is 15.75" LCA stock and 15" UCA stock. If you stay stock you could have problems. Charles
  5. Anyone ever know anything about Trail Pig OffRoad products??? I have a offer to get a new adjustable trackbar at a great price. It looks good but has a tierod end. The other one I can get is a procomp w/ a hemi end but is used and a little more. Charles
  6. I would like to have the yellow one from Twister. Charles

    Made it back

Our ZJ sunroof is 12 yrs old and 160,000 miles and now only shows a very small leak during a heavy rain. Charles
  9. Kind of what I was told many many years ago, buy a guy that worked on cars from the time autos were put into autos :D He told me that when it came to the trans never switch the type of fluid and never never change the fluid if you did not do regular fluid changes from the start. If you did it would kill the auto for the same reason you listed. Back about 10 years ago I had a 5-speed Ranger that the PO had put the wrong fluid in. During the winter it was hard to shift till it got warm, I thought well it's not an auto so I will switch back to the right fluid. Well all the bearings got used to the wrong stuff and every bearing in it went out in about 10K after I put the right fluid back in  Charles
  10. I went to the link and did not see any header :D What is it for, 4.0 or 2.5 :chillin: Charles
  11. When I checked my axle today to see how long of a hose I need for the SOA I got 24". Where are you getting your line from? Charles
  12. New pads and rotors are only part of the fix. Larger rotors and pads is the way to go. Have never looked at the ZJ's to see if they are larger or would be an easy fit/fix. A few years ago on my bike I had went new pads and SS lines with little gain, but when I got some new brackets made and moved the calipers so I could use a 20mm larger rotor and pads it made a BIG difference. But, a swap of ZJ parts is one thing. If you do not know brake systems or know an engineer DO NOT just start bolting on or making different parts. Charles
  13. I got a standard bolt from the local shop. Works fine. Charles
  14. Not sure about this one but WI has lot of the same laws as Ohio. Just go to the court house, you will have to do some paperwork and a fee and you can get a clear title after about 30-90 days. Charles
  15. Anyone know where you can pickup the 14mmx120mm spring bolts w/o going to the dealer? Charles
  16. Part is on order and on the way. Just have to find the bolts now. Thanks, Charles
  17. Here is a link to a site about the 8.8. He did it to the YJ but gave info for the XJ/MJ guys. http://www.jedi.com/obiwan/jeep/ford88.html Charles
  18. Found it, the spicer number is # 2-2-1379 No the one on 8.8 or the ford part number will not fit the u-joints in the MJ, but will fit the u-joints in the YJ. Charles
  19. rocketwheels They are talking the old J wagoneer Full size not the small XJ wagoneer ;) Charles
  20. Dumb question but what are waggy rear springs? Wagoneer springs? Charles
  21. Anyone have the spicer# for the flanged yoke on the 8.8? I can not make out which one I need off the rockforddriveline site  Charles
  22. I know what you mean.. Pulled the front axle on my Ranger to replace the axle joints. Went to Auto Zone and picked up 2 new joints and a press to press the old ones out. Got the old ones out and pressed a new one in and then could not get the clips on. Checked the new one with a old one and everything is the same size except the clip slot is off by 3mm  Charles
  23. I know about the other stuff.. I am looking for items that I can get out of the local bone yard with out paying $180 for everything I need to buy. The springs are about the only thing that I can pick up at the local yard. Charles
  24. OK, sorry. Have the SOA on the rear, need to know on the front if I need new longer springs or if I can get by with spacers or some junk yard springs to cut $$$. Charles
  25. For the ones that have done a 8.8 SOA on the MJ. Did you have to buy new springs or were you able to use spacers to get the lift or maybe some springs out of the boneyard off something else?? Will be using RE DB's when we get the funds. Charles
