Going to be OSU vs LSU
-
May work in PA but not in Ohio. A few years ago I had a car get hit by someone and his insurance totaled it at $900. I had got the car 2 months prior for $1,000 and had $1,300 in receipts from 3 days prior when I rebuilt the front end. And to make things worse, in Ohio they have this law that even if the police finds the other guy in the wrong and you not at fault the insurance Co can say that you are 30% at fault for not looking in your review mirror and trying to avoid the other driver :headpop: Went to an attornery and he told me I was screwed and take the $630 check and next time I was in an accident hold my neck and ask for an EMT to help me

I started using FedEx about 4yrs ago after UPS crushed a package flat and then took 3 weeks to refund the $$. And even back then FedEx was a lot less to ship and could get items from CA to Ohio in one less day. About 6 months ago FedEx set me up with my own account and I can do everything on line and just give the package to the driver that delivers to work. They even paid for a damaged box with in 3 days when both FedEx and I thought the guy I sent the box to was out to scam them. Which he did
-
Who are you using to ship it? The last 8 weeks the stuff that has been arriving on the dock at work from UPS looks like they have drug it behind the truck for about 5 miles  A lot of them has been broken open with stuff sticking out and others look round. Bad thing it's all computer items :headpop: I like my mail man, when I get a box he will pull in the drive and walk it up to the door like it has eggs in it:rock on:

Well I did tell her that she needs to do what ever she has to do to get a job  :rotfl2: But then I think Mrs Yang would want to hire her so bad :D Yes they make all kinds of tires, they are real big in the bike tires. They have a 33' m/t tire that looks OK, not sure if we would get Cooper discounts :hmm:
-
Well I now know everything I need to know about Kenda tires :D And yes they work with Cooper. She met with the wife of the president and the vice president today. They have some more interviews but Mrs Yang wanted to hire my wife today and for $2 more per hr then what the posting was for :D I am sure after tonight Mr Yang, the president of Kenda USA will also want to hire her ;) Maybe next week she will have a job

Anyone know anything about Kenda Tires? The wife is on the way to a job interview at the Kenda USA office. Looks like they are based out of Taiwan with plants in Taiwan, China & Vietnam  Right now I do not care who they are or where they are from as long as they pay in US $$$ :D Wife has been out of work 5 weeks and this is only the second interview and things are going down hill fast  But I could not help to see that they sale 33" M/T's that would fit the MJ and XJ;)

518 / 46RH rebuild for a ZJ???
CEThomas replied to CEThomas's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes, It called A 518 or 46RH. Had the same trans in my Ram it it did the same thing. A seal in side went bad and one day it will drive great and the next day you can not get it to shift  offroader461 How did it shift? They have a seal inside that goes out and it starts out slow shifting when cold and will just keep getting worse  -
Anyone ever rebuild a Chrysler 518 / 46RH? If so I have some questions

Looks like I have 2 to work on this winter :brows: Charles

Looks like I have to switch out the 4.0 in the MJ soon. Not sure if it's worth fixing when I have a spare that I can fix. We made the switch to a heavy oil to see if the rod / valve sound would go away. Well now it sounds good the first 30sec then it starts and after about 60 sec it sounds like a old sewing machine with a bent needle. We also found water in the oil when we went to change it

Looks greaT :D We like the color

Yes, that is why I use other brokers that charge less. And yes UPS sucks. Day after day I look at the items that arrive on the dock from UPS, DHL and Fed EX ground. And I can always tell which items came off the UPS truck by the way the items look like someone drove over them. I also have the same problems at home with UPS damage :headpop:

Yes, a lot of work to do  Yes, it will be nice to have a spare 4.0 HO that we can drop in if we need it. Have a MJ and XJ w/ the 4.0 now and may have another down the road. No trail rig for my daughter, she might get dirt on her or it could be cold or hot out:D I was going to fix it up with a 2" lift and 31 for her to drive to college but just going to make the trail rig for the guys now  But she would like a Jeep so could be hope for her ;)

I the absence of $$ to work on the MJ we have been working on the XJ the past 2 weeks. It now looks like I will build it for a trail rig and not fix up for my daughter. The rust around the wheels on the out side was better then first thought. But when we pulled the flooring out the floor is all but gone. Would take a lot more work then it’s worth to fix it up nice, so we are going to patch the large holes, cover with POR-15 then cover with bed liner. Not up the wife’s or daughters standards but works for us guys. As for the drive line, it looks like it’s never been off road. A couple u-joints and it looks like it will be ready to go. I was told at the time I got it that the 4.0 was gone (no power and metal in the oil) so we just took his word for it and got a 4.0 from Wildman to drop in. Wellll the other day my son was under the weather so I was killing some time out in the garage and decided to start to strip the 4.0 that we had taken out. Well after about an 1hr I was wishing I would have put a battery in and tried the engine  The plugs were all bad, not sure if a couple of them would even fire. #6 cylinder has some signs of oil blow buy, valves look good, piston and walls look good and the only thing that I see out of norm in the bottom was about a ¼” of black carbon in the oil pan. It did look like metal at first glance. So looks like I may have a spare 4.0 out of the deal

Not sure what the problem is????? They picked up on the 20th in CA and it's in NY in 4 days... that is dam good for ground. I am sure you could have paid more and had it sent over night if you needed it in less time 8) And 10,000,000 bucks will not buy you much to upstart a shipping Co.

Is it in the Niger Delta region?? If so pass on it!!!! Every week or so I get reports at work where Militants kidnap workers all the time. Even with govt troops for guards
-
Looks GREAT!!!! No problem with the english. Some of use have even have problems with english :D
-
Just pick something up when you get to Nigeria, it will be cheep and easy. Moving guns out of the US and into another country is hard. To bring them back into the US is very hard.
-
:agree: You have a good engine, it's easy to fix...

spare location  That is what I always liked about my K-5 and Jimmy. Tire mounted where you could get to it easy and check the air in it. JeepcoMJ If they built a Jeep for offroad enthusiasts, would you go out and drop $30,000+ on it next week??? They are building what the new vehicle buyers want and thats reality :chillin: Like Alex said, let this post go back to what is good about Jeep ;)

"Jeep needs to concentrate on this nitch market, and not the over all market share." Jeep could never just concentrate on the nitch market and make it alone. To many auto co's have done that over the past 100 yrs and never made it. Just look at Jeeps history and how they started when Overland could not make payroll and Mr Willy's got into building Autos.
