    Red Neck Flex

Got the MJ out of the garage to test the rear DS and we started to look for something to flex it on. Could not find anything but some wood in the fire pit. Did have enough to build it up to 22"
  2. One was for FI and the other for the trans so you will be OK ;)
  3. What trans do you have? one of them is for the trans if you have an auto.
  4. Will I pulled it out of the garage last night and no bind or vibes in the drive at 20mph. Will see in a couple weeks when we get it out on the road what we have ;)
  5. Try Fed Ex Ground or Forward Air. Not sure if Grayhound will handle the bumpers.
  6. I have seen Wildman's place  he is working to corner the market without letting anyone know :D
  7. I am very happy with my Rough Country lift kit on my XJ & they have excellent customer service too. Check out their 6.5" lift: http://roughcountry.com/Jeep_MJ_6in.htm Call Jason at 800-222-7023 ext 121 - he'll get ya set up! The Rough County lift above has everything you will need as well as RE. Or you can use the search above and see what everyone has used to piece a 6.5" lift together
  8. OK, thanks.
  9. Need to know how much lift to answer that 8)
  10. Well. I checked and I have 7.3" of lift :chillin: Picked up some bolts and checked what a t-case drop would do and it was a little short to make it  SO I took the t-case drop back out and got the 90* grinder out :brows: Works great now :D It will only work as a temp fix:roll: but it will get us down the road to see what problems we run into and get the $$$ for a new DS and SYE Thanks for all the help
  11. Was just looking at the photos and thinking about that :chillin:
  12. Something to think about 8) Have to lift the XJ anyway :brows:
  13. The 12x50mmx2-1/5 is what I need for the drop?? Also I am running slow today. :D The bolt is 50mm with 12 thread count and 2-1/2" long
  14. The perches are the MOPAR ones and only about 1" to 1.25" off the axle with the old top plate / shock mount between the spring and perch. The springs are stock and only added about 1" more then the old springs. As I think about it, the photos of the DS were taken prior to changing the springs out yesterday  so the DS is off more then in the photos
  15. Great  that is always fun to track down in Columbus
  16. Not sure what went wrong  All we did was a 8.8 SOA with stock 4x4 springs off a 86MJ. To lower I would about have to go SUA as the 4x4 springs only gave me 1" more lift then my broken 2wd springs
  17. 33"s the 35 are in the garage yet 8)
  18. Not as much as when we had the MJ bed :D But then it got dark soon as we started home with the tires
  19. Thanks, Going home to night and play around it and see what we get. Anyone know the bolt size to do a t-case drop so I can pick some on the way home?
  20. Got a 4x4 tube bumper :D , but when we drop the winch on we will be back to where we are now :D
  21. Also how much drop is a T-case drop kit??? I will lower to t-case tonight and see how that helps
  22. I know, $480 - $580 + shipping  Already have $$$ in new u-joints and cutting the DS down  But as my welding is not the best ;) I would have the cost of taking the DS and having the purches moved then have them moved back down the road:roll: With the amount of lift we have and the fact we need the front up another 1" to reduce the rake, we are not going to be doing any rock crawing or hard wheeling, a drop can not be that bad, can it
  23. Well give me the specs for the YJ yoke and I will see if I can find something cheep. Did find a new one for $75  But do not want to throw a lot of money at it or rotate the axle with ont knowing for sure it will fix the problem. Wanted to go SYE down the road, maybe now is the time to just save up and fork out the money
  24. We did not check at the start of the project, but just went out and checked and it's 44 1/4" at the center of the rear opening. Lift height for the rear can be measured by finding the distance between the axle tube and frame, just inside of the bumpstop. Stock height is 9.2". Going from the ground to anything else would bring tire size into the equation. Good luck on your driveshaft issue! Thanks, Will see what we have when I get home from work.
  25. When I get home tomorrow I will throw it back on and check all the angles with weight on the axle and with the axle off the ground and see what we have.
