MJ´s are very rare here in germany. Most of them you can get here are wrecked. When we need parts from XJ´s we can get them without problems and most of them don´t cost much. When you need especially parts for an MJ it can get to a problem.
Another problem here is, every two years you must go to a technical investigation. They control the function of all safety-relevant parts of the cars like wheels, brakes, lights, steering, they look at the rust, window glass and so on. When one of the things are not o.k. then you won´t drive with the car on the street before you have repaired it and show it to them a further times. There are many legal safety-regulations for the cars here when you will drive them on the street. Also you don´t can change wheels or engine or you can lift it. You not even can change the front bumper or the headlights to a better one. For every little thing there is a law. Thats why it´s so difficult here to rig your Jeep when you don´t will have a trailerqueen.
I don´t want to cut the fender behind the rear wheels, but I must protect them sometime. At the moment I have no idea how I will manage this. I think you buddys here can give me some ideas, I´m sure.
Next time I will build a new frontbumper with winch inside. But it has to be so narrowly (I don´t know if this is the right word for that) as can be.
