well from what my dad (mechanic) said axles seals are a huge pain in the @$$. if hes just screwing with me then i will for sure just do seals
-
it starts to grind in second and third and sometimes 4th. and you have to triple clutch for reverse most of the time
-
well i really don't want to do axle seals what i might end up doing is finding a decent d30 and swap my gears into it and just use the skeleton. also i just did wheel joints and brakes which means I'm very tired of pulling it all apart
-
well today sarge decided to start leaving snail trails coming from the front axles. which is irritating because the wheels joints arent even a month old and i have to swap the front end
-
cool and it helps a bit.

so today i parked with my wheels cranked and when i walked out i noticed a good amount of dark on my lower control arm. the seals are bad i know. i'm just gonna swap out the front end. i have a dana 30 right now with 4.10 gears and commandtrac. is there some magic front end i can swap in thats a bit stronger. i hear grand cherokee v8s use stronger front end parts.

if only i was so lucky hadnt had my license for a week. got caught burying the speedo in a 35. brought it down to 45 still a 200 ticket. and people said gray trucks blend in
-
right after i posted i found a bunch of dirt cheap racing buckets to go with my trophy truck look. :fs1: at insurance
-
here's a good question my comanche friends. what did you find that you thought your could use the most for your jeep but couldnt buy it? i found this right when its the week when i have my $200 insurance payments. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/3013034049.html

So I'm getting pretty tired of any time i want to work on my engine i have to fight a mess of vaccuum lines and wiring harness. and it just looks bad having a rats nest under the hood. well my truck just skipped over the line where i have to do emmissions and i already ripped the cat off so I'm already committed. i have vaccuum hubs so i want those to work as well as my cruise control. has anybody done a vaccum teardown. i want to essentially just see the motor when i open the hood. any help?
-
so i go to check my oil and give the engine bay a once over i notice that a vaccuum line has layed on the exhaust. the line is attached to an actuator attached to a valve on a hose on one of my heater core lines. what does that valve do and what triggers it?. i want know if it even worth replacing. thanks
-
i got that after i rebuilt the carb and put my new wheels on. flying down the freeway doorless with the stereo blasting hearing that nice heartly warble from the motor. that and the thing boogies pretty good. just the best feeling in the world.
-
it has a new track bar but my dad is the one who installed it so its possible the bolts may have backed off. ill check it out
-
so as i pull my wheels off to check clearances i notice my brake hoses are looking pretty haggard. however i am planning on lifting it SOON. seeing as i don't want to buy brake hoses twice here is my question. with a 3 inch lift in the front can i get away with using factory replacements or do i have to go another route and if so what route should i take?
-
so it been going on for a while but now that i have the doors off i notice it a lot more but when i turn my steering make a pop noise. mostly happens at speed -45mph and in parking lots. might be ball joints any ideas?
-
one for andriod please :wavey:

master cylinders areabout 30 at autozone swap it out real quick. had to do the same when the cylinder itself seized shut leaving me at a gas station smoking the clutch and gears
-
i had a similar problem with mine after i took a header into a short center median. check your wheeljoints. and then your ball joints. i screwed my u joints and yanked the ball joints hard enough to crack the dust covers. good luck
-
if you find a screamin deal on a pair let me know ive been looking for some cheap ones for a while
-
so i built one just like yours. but not. mine looks a bit worse because i couldnt make those sweet endcaps. I'm at school right now but i will post pictures later. sweet idea man. thanks
-
a good kind of offshoot of that game is 1nsane same idea with downloadable cars and maps. the only problem is since i downloaded the game 2 years ago the sites for building/downloading vehicles have fallen apart. which is irritating because they had my exact mj but they link was spammed to hell
-
so i saw this somewhere on a build thread but can't find it again so here it goes. i found a kit that replaced me tie rod ends and all ball joints for pretty cheap. but i wanted to upgrade to a grand cherokee v8 setup. i saw something about they are a single piece steel instead of rolled sheet metal or something like that. can somebody tell me what the benefits are and what years and parts i should be looking for? thanks :wrench:
