after it has been sitting for a while i took the doors off and enjoyed my jeepin summer. but i keep hearing a clicking from my front left kind of like having a rock stuck in the tread. fast i go faster the click and so on. i just did joints and brakes so its not that. possible wheel bearing?

has anyone done it. i was looking at smallblocking a s10 and i thought wait. i like jeeps i have a comanche i could get another one and make it a monster. so has anyone put a smashing chevy v8 into a 2wd comanche? what engine did they use what transmission? any takers?

thanks I'm kind of mad i put all the effort into detailing everything and ended up you can only see the heads and the intake everything else is covered up. oh well.

i just dropped in a cammed and rebuilt 2.8 in my longbed and it goes like stink now. even gave some 4.0s a run for their money. if you have the mechanical ability just rebuild it

if someone offered me a the right amount i think i might let it go. but right now its not on craigslist anymore.

got everything put back together except my hood. everythings broken in and i have my msd hooked up with all the performances parts living up to the cost. grabbed second gear and the fenders rub. i think I'm in love all over again

hate to say it but i would actually drive that thing. id boost it and make it a daily drifter

with 3000 in just the motor in parts plus the other 2000 i have in body armor and lift and tires some guy offered my 1500 bucks. i looked at him and went thats on top of your bmw right?

I'm interest in this as well too because i want to make one with space for me headache rack and spare tire carrier so i can get a thunderchief look

where can someone get their hands on a set of those modernized comanche decals? I'm planning on a front end and door swap soon.

so got everything in got it fired up and have been fighting a lot of small failures. when it fired up it wouldnt idle and sounded like a missing cylinder. went to pull apart the ignition and the coil went up in flames. got the coil replaced and the ignition control module went out. replaced that and the starter and battery took a header. for the moment I'm out of money and just frustrated till wednesday. for now I'm gonna play with the hood i have laying around for a scoop/induction setup.

has anyone ever seen a comanche next to a xj next to a grand cherokee next to a j20 next to a scrambler? there is one by my coworkers house i drove by in sarge and the guy stopped me and we talked for a while and i now have a new jeep friend. i will get a picture. i must get a hold of that comanche though :bowdown: :bowdown:

thats exactly how i want my interior. had the bench got rid of it but want the upholstery setup with the console. :bowdown:

2 paintjobs later i noticed mine. but now that someones said something i noticed it on my roommates xj. he now said hes leaving it like that to mess with me

it was bent and burnt valves i pulled the motor apart after i got a new engine and all none of the valves actually were seated

well as ive been working my laptop took a crap. YAY! now I'm on my friends computer and i have all my parts now it just needs to be put together. Its like a puzzle that goes fast! :D

i have a black bench but I'm in washington and the brackets are cracked and half there.

so i was cruising down the road in my buddies 88 cherokee 4.0 aw4 4wd and his cluster was similar to mine. only difference was that he had gauges where i have lights. he fuel started getting low and then his amc logo lit up with a low fuel light. do i have one of those? i imagine if i do I'm just missing a bulb or something like that.

well spent some time on sarge. about 1300 in parts later i got most of my motor put together i still need to pull the old motor so i can pull the valve covers and oil pan and a few bolts i need. decided to go for the grabber green what do yall think? got my edelbrock cam and intake in and got my compcam roller rockers in. :wrench: :D

will a 5 speed transmission off a 2.5 93 wrangler fit up to my 2.8?

I'm open front and rear :fs1: but i couldnt use it because I'm running 4.10s and I'm keeping it that way till i can find a different setup (dana 44s or something cool) i need another ax5

that would be the intake I'm talking about.

because i don't want to convert it quite yet. and the 2.8s do alright they just have a bad reputation. that coupled with the fact that i can't find a decent donor cherokee and if i do swap it its gonna be with zero mile parts rebuilt engines and everything. i can't see the point in putting a motor with miles on it.

so last night we were standing around my truck and a buddy of mine says you should body lift this thing. me and my roommate who is also a jeep fan look at him and start busting up. just thought i would share that little story
