  1. This thing is GONE! Just got picked up a little bit ago. Thanks hornbrod! I'm certainly having fun with it!
  2. Ok, so I've been holding on to this short bed and the "frame" under it for years and I just haven't gotten around to building my trailer or getting it sold. Sucks for me but it's great for you because this thing is now FREE. You just gotta come pick it up THIS WEEKEND (8/29/15 Saturday and 8/30/15 Sunday) in Corona, CA. I'm selling my house and I need this thing gone. These pictures suck because of where the thing is at right now but they'll have to do. No major rust. No major dents. Driver side flare has a tear in it. Comes with a good tailgate. NO TAILLIGHTS. All the wiring is there. We cut the "frame" and it's all still bolted together. Call/text to 657-229-3478 FREE FREE FREE Just come and get it. It's heavy, so bring a few friends. And a trailer. --Jake This is how it is positioned right now. These are from a while ago but nothing has changed
  3. Glad I could help! I seriously miss my MJ(s).
  4. Holy snot bubbles Batman! That lens looks awesome! I like the Meguires stuff, I've used it on headlights and it works really well. The lens just looks amazing! Did you buff it completely by hand or did you use an attachment for a drill motor or something? I've used one of the Mother's Power balls before with pretty good success but nothing like that. Well done!
  5. sent you a PM
  6. Alrighty, here's some measurements for you I vote for the Late model front end. I love how it makes these trucks look. Smooths it out nicely! I had the Trailer Products Front Late Model Fiberglass on mine, would look really good with the Iceland rear fender flares if you went that route. Image Not Found Image Not Found
  7. Yea, I completely forgot! Sorry about that. I'm setting a reminder in my phone to remind me to do it tonight.
  8. rotten kid :D HAHA! Yer just mad because I made you think you'd lost your camera! Not on purpose mind you but I did it none the less! haha
  9. I'll try and get a measurement for ya tonight. I don't have the Hannemann fenders but I know they are they same length and what not as the short bed. They match up the short bed pretty good for being fiberglass.
  10. Yea, what happened to all that recent buzz about the Jeep truck? Just flat out died. They came out with the Mopar JK-8 kit to convert a $20k Wrangler Unlimited to a truck and I'm seriously hoping that's not what all the hype was about. It's kinda cool in it's own right, but that is not really a Jeep truck. Hopefully Jeep does come back with a truck, especially with the Dakota being dead. Jeep has been pretty weird lately. They've barely talked about the 2012 Wranglers and it's already on the lots being sold. Jeep.com is still pushing 2011 rigs and they aren't talking about the new Pentastar motor for the Wranglers at all.
  11. I hope it works out Remi! Just let me know about the springs and what not. I've still got 'em here. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets totaled out. Years ago after I had first gotten my '87, I was rear ended. Mangled the bumper, put a wave into the tailgate and a baseball sized dent in the bedside right below the taillight and they looked at it for about 5 minutes and immediately said it was a total loss. I bought it back from them and got paid another $800 or something like that and drive it just like that until I parted the truck out. Only thing I changed was the bumper.
  12. It was great to meet everyone! I definitely missed my truck but was good to have the camaraderie even though I don't have a even remotely useful MJ anymore...soon, she'll be completely gone. I'll live vicariously through my Dad and all you guys! Hopefully ya'll won't mind a ZJ owner in your midst, haha.
  13. UGH! I was wondering about the pics myself but then I remembered about when I took the video of my MJ burning. I had already called 911 and was just waiting and it dawned on me that I should get some pics or video of it. Later in the thread (on the first page though) the guy mentions that he was waiting for the ambulance to come and thought of needing the pics while he was waiting.
  14. I like it! It looks good and I like that it's one more thing to be different with.
  15. It's getting ridiculous! Just paid $3.85 at a place that is normally $0.10 under everyone else...
  16. Here by my work, the cheap stuff is at $3.68 a gallon. Average is $3.75. Not as bad as in Canada though! Ouch!
  17. I agree whole heartedly. This was some of what I experienced when I move to Las Vegas and join a new Troop. There are still plenty of Troops that definitely do the program justice. It's always sad to hear of situations like this though.
  18. I've been wanting to do one of these for awhile now! I love them. I'd leave the grill and headlights the way they are though. Here are a few pics of cool ones I've come across on the net. The first two are of a work in progress.
  19. Congrats! That's awesome. I got a card...haha
  20. I agree about the headlights, they are a little goofy. I've never really like the projector adaptation to a standard light or even the halo thingys that seem to be "hip" now. I think that if the rear was a tad bit lower, either level with the front or just a tiny bit lower than the front, the bedsides would look better. They are kind of blocky though. Done! haha
  21. To each his own is definitely the theme of this thread. It appears this forum is dominated by non-prerunner people, but that's cool. I love the look of the truck. I agree though, I wish the performance had come first. It was one of those things, one thing lead to another and pretty soon it sits the way it does now. Like I said, started with tune up and maintenance, then it was decided that the fiberglass was going on so that he could see how much lift he needed for the specific tire he wanted (which was, admittedly, a different tire than what's on it now), and as he was working out the suspension plan, he go sick of the red cab with white fenders look, so he got it painted. Anyhow, when Rubicon gets back on track, I expect some really sweet performance upgrades on this truck soon after.
  22. Don't worry 'MATE it's not Omix. ;) THAT makes me happy.
  23. Nope, I think the OP mentioned it already but it's a 97+ XJ Header Panel. ***EDIT - Second post has that info
  24. Scott? Update: According to Scott as of today, and they have no plans to permanently shut down; though all RE employee's have been laid-off as of yesterday. We're being told that it will at least be 4 weeks; though could be easily upto 4 months. They are simply restructuring some things that will (hopefully) allow them to suit the needs of the off-road community better than ever. Rumor has it that it may involve a very large international offroad company. Yep. I've known him for awhile, loose friendship kind of thing, from when I worked at T&J's. I'm happy to know that they have plans to come back.
  25. I'll have to chime in on this. I installed the fiberglass fenders on all four corners of this rig. It started out as just freshing it up and doing a tune up and some other minor repairs at my old work (T and J Performance in Orange, CA) and then turned into doing fiberglass fenders. After that was done, the RE employee that owns it was gonna DD it until he put a Long Arm kit on it. Pretty soon he painted it and threw a bumper on it to spruce it up. It's a work in progress. I know he has a Currie 9" housing waiting to go in it too.
