  1. Closed alot during the day + Alot of cars at night + Lots of junk cars in back + rough neighborhood usually = Chop Shop. :dunno:
  2. So is it a possibility that if I walk up to the dealership where they have a rust free 92 XJ sitting on some nice wheels and tires and it has "CASH FOR CLUNKERS " spray painted on the side of it I might be able to deal with them to trade wheels and tires from my MJ for a price. :hmm:
  3. My girl loves my beard. It is about 4inches long and I have been dedicated to it for about a year. I have always wanted to have a long beard since I first saw ZZ top.
  4. Since I had the clutch master replaced on my 87' I have noticed the pedal get soft under frequent use like heavy traffic but it returns to normal after a few seconds of not being used. What could be causing this? Do you think they didn't bleed the system good enough and the is air trapped in there? 1987 2wd 4cyl 4speed.
  5. Maybe the 2.8 isn't runnig on all 6 cylinders. :dunce:

    BAHAHA!

Grapeape designs is the one who has those. I was gonna get a T-shirt with that on it. He will even color the truck to match yours.
  7. Gibson makes a good quiet performance muffler. I do not know if they have anything MJ specific. I put one on my 96' Blazer because I wanted better flow but hated the way a 4.3 sounds with a loud muffler.
  8. That is what I am talking about in the picture. Maybe I will get brave and plug it in this weekend. It may have come loose by itself too. Thanks for the help guys.
  9. Pics are hard for me to do cause I only have work internet access. But the truck is an 87'-2.5-4 speed- 2WD. The part in question if you were looking from the driverside across the engine bay would be on your left hand side of the throttle body. It is a roundish black thing with a rod that looks like it would push the throttle linkage out when activated. It has a weather tight plug on the back. I don't know if that helps or not but the fountain of info that is a Haynes manual(sarcasim) describes the part as the IAC. And from searching and seeing pics of other IACs I am pretty sure that is what it is. The only problem I seem to have with the truck is rough idle on cold starts but it smooths right out after it runs for a few seconds a warms up a bit. The rough idle goes away if you give it a little gas.
  10. Had a similar sound on my rig and it turned out to be the trackbar so maybe check this also. :dunno:
  11. I have the Skyjacker hydros on my offroad rig and they perform great. Onroad they are a little stiff but it is a truck so I expect it to ride like a truck.
  12. So should I worry about it or just leave it be for the time being? There are other things I would like to service on the truck first and money is tight at this time.
  13. I figure the P.O. disconnected this for a reason (the IAC). My question is will it hurt the truck running it without it plugged in? It runs fine and has been for the past two weeks. I am a chicken to plug it back in as I do not want to wake any sleeping gremlins.
  14. My owner's manual says AMC/Renault 75-w90 for the trans. It is an 4-speed T-4 trans I believe. Any reason not to use Lucas 80-w90 HD gear oil?
  15. Uh if I had kids and they said someone molested them 27,000,000 dollars would not make me shut up I would want the guy dead. That just sounds like some greedy @$$ saw a chance to get rich quick and did not care who got hurt. Those of you with kids would money make you stop going after someone who molested your kids. If you say yes you should not be a parent.
  16. That is funny right there! :rotf:
  17. The addiction that is. Just got my second comanche for a daily driver. It's a 87 Sportruck 4cyl 4speed SWB. Really clean except the driver's side floor of course. $1000 was the price. Pics coming soon. I have to post some pics of the progress on the 86 so I will post them togther in a few days.
  18. Breaking the bolts off works very well and it isn't too hard to thread nuts on the bolts inside the frame. The farthest ones foreward I just put a little super glue on the nut glued it on my wrench, tightened it down and broke the glue free.
  19. That is what I am after. Better vision backing up.
  20. I used the solid mounts from Jegs. No drivetrain flex.
  21. That is kida what I thought. Thanks Pete.
  22. I know on a full size this is not a good idea as it will weaken the bed sides. Would wheeling with no tail gate do this to a comanche?
  23. I tried putting a pipe in the frame rail and was able to break a few bolts free. Gonna finish up tonight. Thanks guys for the feedback.
  24. Yeah they are broke off in the nuts. :wall: Aint really much sticking up past the side of the frame. I will try the hammer idea before cutting.
  25. I have used everything on the broken bolts that are supposed to hold my rear bumper on. Now my question is can I drill a 3/4" or 1" hole through the bottom of the "frame" to gain access to the weld nuts on the inside of the frame? Would this affect the integrity of the frame at all? My idea is to chisel the spot welds and break the nuts free.
