  1. Hind sight's always 20/20. 8)
  2. Man that thing does look funny, especially being taller than the truck. 8)
  3. Actually it is because i haven't bought it yet. It's still not confirmed it's a 401 because i can't see the side of the block (it's still in the jy wagoneer), but according to the VIN it came with a 401. If I get it it'll be awhile before it goes in the MJ, I wanna get it drivable first with the motor I already put in it. 8)
  4. It's in Laurel Indiana. Here's there web site. http://www.haspinacres.com/home.html I haven't been there since I was 5 or so, but I'll be there again one day. 8)
  5. I always wanted a reason to use it, guess this is a good one. :D 8)
  6. Shouldn't be too hard to fab up some mounts if you have to. I think I used 4" flat stock for mine. I just shaped it as I needed it. 8)
  7. :rotf: :laughin: 8)
  8. Oh boy... 8)
  9. Not to be confused with "dualing" MJ's. :D 8)
  10. Man, it doesn't look like anythings changed in the last 25 years or so. Looks like a fun place to go still. Thanks for the pics, they brought back a few childhood memorys. 8)
  11. I haven't been to Haspin Acres since I was like 5. What kind of trails are there now? IIRC when I was there it was a plethera of mud holes, had a dirt drag strip, and some decent trails. I won't be able to make the Holloween event, but I'd love to check the place out again. 8)
  12. Yeah I don't get on the board for a few days and all hell breaks loose. Congrats on saving everything Pete, If we all gave you the beer we owed you just think, you won't have to buy beer for a year or two. :D 8)
  13. Welcome aboard! I'm late as usual. Your friend's truck is sweet! 8)
  14. That just means they live on in someone else's yard or shop. :D 8)
  15. Man I sure miss going to Jamboree's, I remember when was still at the Marion County fair grounds. I didn't realize it was the 25th aniversary this year. It's gonna be hard to do it and Tellico too. 8)
  16. Hey John, where did you get your LED's at? I just picked up a 1:6 scale Jeep at my Walmart and I wanna modify it. Also, does the spare tire give you trouble? Mine sits on the back of the body alot and it seems like it'd be in the way. Thanks, Shawn. 8)
  17. Sweet YJ, but I'm still a die hard CJ kinda guy. 8)
  18. To put the new one on you'll need the adapter, but any parts store should have one. To pull the old one just get a steering wheel puller, it should come right off. 8)
  19. It sounds like to me the charging problem is a bad battery. It'sdrawing more than the alt. can put out and it choking down the motor. Start with a good battery and go from there. 8)
  20. I have a Jeep 360 in my MJ and I know where there might be a 401. :D 8)
  21. Kewl, thanks for the answers. 8)
  22. So for the record, you used the LCA mount hole already there and didn't have any steering bindage? I tried to click the link to the other guys leaf spring conversion, but for some reason it's a dead link. Hopefully I'll be doing this soon. Also, what are the lengths of the waggy springs? I'm just curious. I plan on using CJ rears. 8)
  23. Ok, I finally found a couple pics of my old MJ. Here it is in what I called "street mode" with the 255/70/R15's on dual bolt pattern Corvette ralleys. Here it is in what I called "off road mode" with 32" Sidewinders ands no lift. Yes that's me in the pic as well, trying to fix the front end that's trying to roll out from under it due to the UCA's giving way due to too much air time. That's another story. It's kinda scary when you're almost 3 hours from home and have to fix it to drive it back. 8)
  24. Is that like a test that makes you laugh because it tickles? 8)
