  1. the positions of the stock lever are pointing towards the front first 2wd, 4wd part time, 4wd full, neutral, and 4wd low with the lever pointing more towards the rear. you should be able to feel it shift into position. however i think the cable kit's new lever arm will reverse it, because the lever is being moved from the bottom to the top.
  2. the box is going to have some legs to let it sit level. its pretty heavy and fits like a glove so i am not sure if it will need to be attached to the cab, i am hoping this weekend I will be able to put it in finally. My uncle if off work as well so if I work on it over at his house i will look for the build specs for the box. as for pointers my box is sealed everywhere possible with wood glue or some other sealer, even the spot where the sub wires pass through the box. also you want to find the airspace specs for your subs, mine are ten inch and that brand has its own airspace requirements, and my box is built to alpine sub specs.
  3. next time you come down P.M. me
  4. my hell creek Metric ton leafs with moog 97 ZJ V8 lariale rate coils and 1 3/4 inch spacer in front.. running 31x10.5R15 tires
  5. i found a 06 4.7 WK 4x4 a few hours drive from here. it has 162,000 miles on it. also has off road package with skid plates and navigation system. they are asking $8900 for it.. but it has the same mileage as my MJ.. the other two WKs has 112,000 and 64,000 miles on them and $9000 asking for both, but they are 2wd. What would be a good offer, and what price would be acceptable. My Boss is telling me to get a wrangler because its more of a "mans Jeep" than the WK. then one of our friends chimed in and said "you should get a wrangler, do you want a old person truck or to get laid" I would like a wrangler but its not what I need at the moment. A point my boss had was I can sell a wrangler for almost the same as what i paid for it if i needed to. My goal it to get a Jeep under $10k (would prefer around $7k), safe to drive, V8, 4wd or AWD if possible, can tow my other Jeeps if needed, and can transport more than one passenger. MPG doesn't really bother me that much... I drive a 88 4x4 MJ currently anything gets better mileage than it. I want to be able to start working on longer than one weekend projects for Blue. And having a second (drivable) Jeep that is mine would awesome.
  6. :ack: :jump: :jump: :rotfl2:
  7. sweet , now i want one :brows: just need something in my price range
  8. I like the sound of that. To bad Diesel is $4+ per gallon :hmm: and gas is 3.09 Ya, and when diesel costs 15% more per gallon and nets you 30% better fuel economy it still nets you a 15% increase in fuel economy. So you could be paying $10 a gallon for gas and $11.50 for diesel and the diesel will still be cheaper to run....... Gas cheaper = buy it more often. Diesel more expensive = buy it less often. what are the numbers for the diesel? i know the 4.7 is 14-19 mpg. then my next problem would be finding one..
  9. the Commander I looked at had 3 rows of seats and was a little tight on the inside, but the outside is awesome
  10. I like the sound of that. To bad Diesel is $4+ per gallon :hmm: and gas is 3.09
  11. I test drove a 09' Grand Cherokee a few months back and liked it. This Wednesday i am going to look at it in person and test drive it, if the price is right I will sign the papers Friday if dad has off.
  12. Dad bought himself a Liberty after he sold the F-250, He said he can now co-sign a loan for me if i wanted to get a newer vehicle.. So I found a 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7 liter V8 with all the bells and buttons, asking price is $9000.. has any one on here owned one? anything i should look for? It is at a chevy dealership
  13. This morning while running around stuff for work I saw a Very nice looking Comanche, it was silver or gray with a chrome toolbox, the tailgate appeared to be in good condition. I saw it on Airport Terminal Road, in Mobile Alabama. I wish I had a better look at it but when i noticed it i was messing with my radio...
  14. Dude, it was an amazing feeling. I couldnt stop smiling the entire time haha. RockMJ Any body else get the same feeling every time they drive by another non Jeep truck?
  15. replaced my front brake lines, and washed the MJ and KJ.
  16. a quick easy way to tell is if the plastic on the cluster is white or blue, then you match it with a white or blue donor cluster. Blue being older cable driven speedometer and white being electronic.
  17. ya, it took me long enough. :shake: Today Dad's new Liberty is being delivered to him at work.
  18. thanks :D Mom and I where looking at a Jeep for Dad today, the salesman wanted to buy it from me. I kindly said no. Looks like we will be getting a 05 Liberty Limited 4x4 some time in the next week.
  19. A good side view of my MJ with the new tires and rims
  20. comcast :ack: have them at work (Anytime Fitness, Gym/Health club) we have a business account with them the internet is great 15+ MBps but their tv service sucks.. they require a digital box for all our tvs (19 total) and expect us to pay rent on all the boxes  . all of the tvs are digital ready.. they could just not encrypt the channels and we would be a happy customer. We have mediacom at our other location and internet is about the same but we are not required to have digital boxes.
  21. i would pull off the wheel weights and repaint the rims while you still have paint. i painted my first set of rims and the weights the next time the tires where balanced it removed a chunk of paint. it looks great! i would paint the center pice like you said
