PCV maybe? -
when i was looking for a car last year i wanted to buy american and i looked into the zx3 focus. seen MANY complaints of around 70-80k a valve spring retainer or sumthing would break, drop into the cylinder and pretty much grenade the valvetrain. ford kicked it under the rug and never repaired the cars. that made me quit looking at them. i like my GLI, but have been thinking of selling it and getting something a bit older. 00-01 Audi A4 quattro's are on my list, just not the automatics ($3500-4000 rebuild over here). they key would be to find one that has and can prove the maintance of oil changes/timing belt replacement. or find one with a bad turbo and replace it with a FRANKEN Turbo.

cody4359 replied to ftpiercecracker1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
its a bit more expensive, but comes with a 3 year unlimited miliage warranty, 270 hp and 320 ft lb torque. for what it comes with it seems like a deal http://www.golenengineservice.com/engin ... long-block -
would you like it better if i wanted a Type R civic or NSX lol

Head light conversion question
cody4359 replied to ICEBOX's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
after seeing all the picture comparisons online i was expecting more, but i guess the camera make the new lights look brighter. the pics were taken before i re-adjusted them, and as you can see on the fence the were aimed pretty high. they are better once properly adjusted. check out viewtopic.php?f=3&t=34450 to get a bit of a discount and free shipping on the lights if they are what you want -
lol i agree its alot, but i believe 2008 was the last year the RS4 was made. just a rare car, 6 in a 300 mi radius of me. one day ill have one, i hope. but I'm thinking of getting rid of the GLi and getting a sonoma for a commuter then maybe using the left over $$ to build a shop.

oh its all $#!&s and giggles til sombody giggles and $#!&s :D you my friend have never been in a S4 or RS4, because they are far from pansy or euro trash :smart: a GLI on the other hand  2007 RS4 420 hp 4.2L V8 (sales chick said it had a turbo, it doesnt) 317 ft lb torque 0-60 in 4.5 sec S4 has 340 hp and i didnt feal like looking for the rest

Head light conversion question

about mid page are the pix of my new lights/one stock pic. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=31364&start=120 overall I'm pretty impressed, at first i they were ok, but then i went and re-adjusted the lights a little lower and that helped quite a bit. i did a bunch of looking around and found the hellas and ipf's had the most liked light pattern. i am really pleased with the high beams of the IPF/silverstars. down the road i will probly upgrade the harness and try out a higher wattage bulb. everyobdy that has cibies (80 a piece) seems to love them but didnt seem likemuch of a difference than the ipf for the price. -
that truck on fire was pretty cool

not a huge fan of the viper, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 would be fun but i guarantee you that the RS4 would whoop its @$$ in the corners, not to mention it has a 6 speed manual and the SRT8 is just a auto. we all know that TX is known for steers and... well it rhymes with that, and seeing as you have a hookup for a sex change i think that saying was just validated ..i.. :D ..i.. not that I'm offended by your comment but to me a car enthusiast loves LOTS of cars/trucks, not just one make. my real dream car, coming in at $178,000 is the Audi R8

ya id get in trouble too but it was still fun to test drive. took my radar detector just to be safe and the salesman was a cutle 19 year old chick. finally got her to scream when i hit 120 mph in a tight spot lol got back i acted interested then left :D

got bored today so i took my GLI to the audi dealership so it looked like i could afford something nice. found a 2007 Audi RS4 (turbo v8 6 speed) and took it for quite the test drive down the freeway. the exhause note is sooooo sexy on that car but even with it having 80,000 mi they still wanted $38k for it. thought of trying to drive the R8 but figured they'd just laugh at me, or id wreck it and have to sell my house and live in a cardboard box

or....... you could actually get your own truck looking bada$$, instead of showing off other people's rigs [flipoff smiley text since we don't have one] :D
