hood is fine, fenders are a little different. and it pretty much bolts in. the only thing is that the newer fenders have a stud on the front that goes through the header panel with a nut to hold it tight. the older fenders don't have that stud. Check the 14th post down on this page viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14741&hilit=fender+swap, it shows a 97+ header with 96- fenders.

I know that this site doesnt use it (yet :D ) but someone might get some use out of this Tapatalk for free this looks to be legit. download the app getjar from getjar.com and it has some apps for free including tapatalk. discussion http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...id=0&t=3451636 I updated from an older version I acquired and it looks to be working fine. if you want I'm sure you can delete the getjar app once you install tapatalk

there is a short socket Torx bit that you can buy, also I have heard of using a wrench on the shaft of the torx bit. some have also said you can get a better look at the heads of the bolts with the fenders off. I believe the pin can be removed but it is very very difficult. http://mikestrawbridge.com/blog/2010/07 ... -cherokee/

my mj project. current name "project over"
lostissues replied to lostissues's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Thanks, sorry I didn't notice this till now. the fuse panels were pretty easy for me but I did car electronics install for a few years so I know my way around that kind of stuff. this winters plans should keep me busy and transform the Manche a bit. its an 03, I don't think I will DD anything other then a Subaru from here on out. next one will have to be a WRX, the RS is nice but it has no balls, and an STI would be a ticket on wheels for me. -

Is this plug_n_play? stereo stuff
lostissues replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
looks like it was installed at a Circuit City, or the parts were bought there. Circuit was the only company Metra made those plugs for. what is the radio model number? try turning off the radio and holding buttons for a few seconds, that my let you enter the settings mode. (not sure what button exactly but if you get the model number you should be able to look online for the manual.) -
the starter is pretty new and I made my own cables and the connection points look pretty clean. it is probably due to going through some mud and water. but that would have only been one time so it kinda sucks it failed that easily.
-
I will check it out when I swap it. pretty sure it isn't the solenoid because I use the screwdriver bypass method and it still didn't fire up. Where are you getting the starters from ? the first one was on the MJ when I bought it, the other one was ordered for me by a friend with an off road shop. they have a ton of suppliers they order stuff from so I'm not sure where exactly it came from. but I will have to check and see if its under warranty. luckily I have a whole 97 Cherokee I can pick one from for now.

97+ fuel sender ohm readings?
lostissues replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
sweet, unfortunately it looks like with a quick Google search no one makes a fuel sender for a fuel cell that works in those ohm levels. unless anyone on here has seen one? -

I bought a new starter last year after my other one died. well the new one died today (had to get pull started by a forklift at work). Is there anyway to protect the starter from the usual trail abuse (mud, water)? or can I rebuild them easily? is it just cleaning the gunk from them and hooking them back up or is there a lot more to it? or do I just have to keep buying new ones? I don't drive the truck all that often so I have pretty much gotten under 75 starts on the new starter I don't want to have to get a new one.
-
what are the full and empty ohm readings on a 97+ fuel sender? I am thinking about putting in a fuel cell (along with a full 97+ swap) and was wondering if I could use a generic one they sell with it or if I was better off finding a way to fit the stock pump into the cell.

check under the rear seat for an amp. when I would do them I would just bypass the amp by wiring the input to the amp to the output of the amp.
-
F that, I don't care if its their first time, I would call the cops, why give them the second chance to kill someone?

I would say flip down cup holder would be a pretty good guess http://www.drinkholder.com.tw/p12.html
