If this was a package here... It would sticker for $22,995 to $24,995 for the fully loaded model with 3.8L V6, D44 Rear, D30 Front, Rubicon Rear Locker Option, Air, Buckets, etc. The 2.4L 4cyl could be the cheapest PU in america at $16,995.

HERCULINER! AWFUL!! YOU ARE GONNA REGRET THAT JOB IN THE FUTURE. THAT CRAP TRAPS MOISTURE AND WILL PROMOTE RUST AND CORROSION. LOOK LIKE ShYT too!! You shoulda got a spray in job that was high build polyurethane because when it catalyzes it forces out more moisture. Herculiner job in my old 1995 XJ... rotted out like hell underneath the herc but not on the other side of the jeep. Had to replace the floors in it!! AARON

Thinking that it might be time for another clean start.

It is just the idea that I find my self in this situation where on a daily basis I find my self in situations where I don't want to be because of many of the things that have happend over the past few years and over decisions that I have made. I'm not even going to say that it is because of bad decisions. I purchased a $69,000 house in Oct of 05 that I have totally remodeled and made worth probably $140,000. That caused me to purchase thousands and thousands of dollard worth of tools like table saws, and chop saws, and air compressors, and nail guns, and other hand tools, a floor nailer, and I totally outfitted my garage with jacks, engine stands, hoist, and all this other hunky dory crap that part of me feels like I don't want the responsibility of owning any more. I just don't want to deal with stuff like expensive pattio furniture and TV's in every room in the house and alot of other stuff. I'm perfectly fine with 1 small TV, an old wooden picnic table salvaged from some one elses trash with a few replacement boards on it, and a backpacking air mattress to sleep on every night instead of some Posturepedic Bed that had to be made every morning. I guess I am just going through this phase right now where I feel the need to go be one with the earth again. I need to take another trip like my AT HIKE back in 2003, but this time I want to do it with the RUBICON, a small utility trailer (possibly a TENTRAX, or home brew) and just live off of what I can carry on my back or in my Jeep for a while. Life is so much more simple and wholesome that way. There is not alot of wasted energy on things like light bulbs, and house fans, and loads and loads of laundry, and cleaning solutions, and all the other crap that we consume. I am just not totally happy with everything and I want to make a change. Nothing wrong with that right?? -
I am sitting here tonight frustrated as hell over several things. In the past three days I have purchased three new Notbook Computers at Retail because I need a replacement for mine as it has crapped out and I can't get it fixed by tomorrow morning. Needless to say Windows Vista on all of them has locked up, one even switching to blue screen of death on the second startup. I got into this major fight today with my girl friend over the whole reason that I am out purchasing another computer anyhow. Her father owns a business and had a fleet of Dell Latitudes that were about 2 years old that I totaly re-setup about 9 months ago, and he took hers off of here to give to her dead beat brother to jack off to in his college dorm room via wireless. So our spare that was setup perfect was taken from us. So here I sit tonight, this being the pinnical of similar small frustrations. Five years ago I was kinda at this point and I walked away from everything that I had. Quit a great paying Job, Sold 2 of my 3 driveable Jeeps, (Kept the XJ any my old MJ was not on the road at the time) and went backpacking for six months where I only spend about $1500 total. I'm kinda thinking about doing that same thing again. I thought about putting my house up for sale, getting rid of everything except for the RUBICON, the 96XJ, and the 50,000 mile MJ PU, and starting all over again after taking an extended vacation to travel out west to places where I have never been before. Doing this when you are 25 was probably not that big a deal because I did not have very many responsibilities, but now at 30 I suppose that I have more, but not really, I don't have kids, and frankly, my live in girl friend that I do love is not really making deep down in my heart and mind happy when I lay my head on the pillow at night. I probably have $50,000 in equity in my house, and a quick calculation of liquidation of everything else from tools, to electronics, to furniture, to vehicles and vehicle parts should net me close to another $50,000. Anyone done this?? Just cashed out, kept the 1 or 2 or 3 things that really meant something and were not replaceable really, and started all over again?? I'm thinking about it. AARON

I can't believe that our country has found it self in another VIETNAM TYPE domestic problem. Today there was an ANTI WAR protest in Pittsburgh here and many of the people that were on the news tonight I totally agree with there opinions. What are we doing?? How is it that we let Bush lead us down this path to debt and to global conflict. don't you remember the school BULLY when you were a kid. Sooner or later some one really kicked his @$$ and now he pumps gas at the local full serve while rubbing snuff for a living. That is gonna be the USA in a few years unless we do something about our problems. We need to work on domestic issues to improve the problems that we have here at home. I'd be willing to accept 3000 more terrorist attack deaths instead of the 3000 troops that have been killed. Why do we let this kind of stuff happen to us?? Sorry... just felt like ranting a bit.

I want to purchase a tubing bender, but I don't know why kind to get? I want something to bend tubing to build bumpers, cages, and to build MJ tube beds. I also need to purchase a notching tool used to align piece of tubing for welding. I am also going to purchase a hotter 220 welder soon. Anyone have suggestions.

How hard is it to do fab work like that?? That is a real good job. I always thought that it would be easy to graft the back end of an MJ bed onto the back of an XJ, but that guy made it look easy with the fab work.

El Camino is like MJ Comanche. Both are rare. I'd keep the Elcamion or sell it outright. You can get a decent MJ for $1000. El Caminos are so cool though!!

Some one had posted on here with 2 metal square tubes welded between the bed mounts that are near the cab on the frame. This was a subframe to attach the gas tank to so that they did not have to remove tank to remove the bed. Does anyone know where that post is at? I did search for 10 min and could not find what I was looking for.

MORE PICS PLEASE!! INSIDE OUTSIDE CLOSEUP UNDER THE BED OVER THE BED FROM THE SIDE FROM THE BACK!!! MORE MORE MORE!!!

I am sorry. I am on a rant this morning. Have Columbia Service Partners Water and Sewer Line "Warranty" I got it because I have an ancient gas line that is going to need replaced. In the mean time I have had them repair my sewage stack (iron pipe cracked) and they came back to replace a few leaky water line shut off valves just because the guy pointed it out to me. When the put the valves in place they did not point them in the direction that you can put your hand on them to turn them (previous plumber did not either) but the point is why can't you just do something right? I had a Midas shop do a repair to a broken shock mount on my XJ and they did the welding to my Jeep without disconnecting the battery. The damn Jeep went from getting 16MPG to getting 9MPG in the course of a half hour. Since then I have had every engine code in the book thrown by the computer. I replaced a few sensors, but the simple fix to this fawking problem was for the IDIOTS at MIDAS to have disconnected my battery. So I file a claim with them and they don't even respond to my inquiry. I just get so damn frustrated when other people do things for me that I pay for and they don't do them right. Why do I feel like I am the only person who ever does stuff right or satisfactory for my self? Perfectionist mentality or what??

I think that what he is saying is to start with an LWB MJ Remove the back half of the cab. Slide it back far enough to use an MJ Short Bed. Fill in between with quarter panels from a 2dr XJ. In order to maintain the structure. I would leave the origional MJ Pillars in place and as much of the cab structure in place as possible and just move the rear wall back using flooring and quarters from a 2 door XJ (not that the flooring matters) That MJ in the pics above that is for sale on EBAY is great! THe only thing though is those awful looking rear doors. Why do all that work? Make it look so nice?? Only to leave a freaking wheel well in the middle of the Jeep on the door. Piece a 2door door bottom and a chunk of pillar to fix that problem.

Very Nice MJ. I don't like your front bumper though. Way to over kill!! I could pack everything I need to go away for a month in that thing. ARB Bull Bar would be a much better choice. But that MJ is quite a nice looking rig!!

I went to Reading PA yesterday for a job interview with First Energy and when I was leaving I spotted a Comanche sitting in the back of a Suzuki Dealership. I thought that it might be a trade in so I went to find out... I WISH THAT IT WAS A TRADE IN!! They idiot sales guy that I talked to said it probably was not worth much because Comanches have not been around for a long time. Here it belongs to some one that works there. Inside of the bed looks like it has never even had groceries hauled in it. It is a 88 or 89 and it is perfect!! Anyone know who owns this?? It is a blue long bed?? Best Condition Comanche that I have seen in at least 5 years.
-
You don't need new doors, you just need new door guts. Just goto a U-Pull it like the one in hazelton PA where they put all kinds of late model XJ's in the yard and get brand new door guts. Hell if you want, get the windows, window trim, interior trim, and power controls and swap it all in.

Yea dude... Just be safe... No Political Agenda we have currently going on on the face of the earth is worth giving your life for. Espicially that circus over there in the Middle East.

I am not a huge fan of your round lights on the side. However I really like the bed bob job. If you had a very nice rear bumper, tubular in nature that wrapped around under your rear bob job up to your wheels that would look great. If I were you I'd consider getting a fuel cell instead of that factory tank in the bed. I did alot of asking on here to find out if guys were interested in replacement fuel tanks, but decided it was probably best to just purchase fuel cells that are already avaliable. You should put one in like the one that Mudzilla put in that 1992 that he is working on. If you were closer to me I'd offer you a really good price on a sprayed in bedliner from my company. If you want to make the drive down here from NJ I guess that is really not that far. When you had the bed cut apart, did you take the time to coat the crap out of the inner bed sides up in the wheel wells where these vehicle rust out real bad?? You would have had the best opportunity in the world to do that at that time.

I am interested in the source for that headder and the brand name you said was APN?? Wtf is that?? I have a banks TT in my 95 and that looks exactly like it. I need to put a headder in my 1996 and in my 1987MJ. $140 is much better than $450

I am not 100% sure on the head bolt up between those 2 years. I know that 91-99 was the same. Some one with first hand knowledge will have to tell you. I'd say that it probably will work.
