can i unplug the TCU, wire up some switches, and control the tranny's gears when in D. I know it defaults to 4th when the TCU is unplugged, but that means both solenoids are OFF. If i send power to them in D, will they go into 1, 2, 3? I think this is what your unit does. Thanks. EDIT...I did my own thing...pics are a few posts down.

 Just got the She Wants Revenge CD last week. I had the luck of seeing them in concert with Rock Kills Kid, and Electric Six. How are they? I love the CD, but can't imagine what a show would be like if not on acid. To be honest, I hated them when I saw them. I had a cold, was in a smoke filled club, and was expecting Electric Six on at 9:00. Reality was that Electric Six was not on till 12:30. I do remember the song Tear You Apart being really good live. About a month later, I listened to them again, and LOVED them. Out Of Control is one of my favorite songs. Check out Rock Kills Kid when you get a chance. Songs, Hide Away, and Are You Nervous. VERY good songs IMHO.

I've been to two Toby Keith concerts, and one Brad Paisley (<---awesome show!) I really can't list just 5 bands, I have too much of a range. I listen to EVERYTHING.... She Wants Revenge Godsmack Paul Van Dyk Shakira (yes...I know) Keane Rock Kills Kid Enigma Life House and a bunch of random oldies/new songs.

I took those 3 pics with a little 4MP cannon powershot (A520). It costs under $200, and does just fine. Thanks for the complement jackal

you could wire up a switch so you can manually drive the automatic w/o a clutch. I'm going to try this to see if it works. -

ive done lots of research on the AW4, and the TCU, and ECU are not connected in any way. i think when OBDII came out, that they integrated everything. -

Pretty simple -- opposite ends of the spectrum. The Eliminator was a top-end model, with bucket seats, center console, alloy wheels, the whole enchilada. The first year of the Eliminator, it was only offered in 2WD. The SporTruck was the base model. I have an '88. Bench seat, idiot lights, the ungly "station wagon" steering wheel. rubber floor mat instead of carpet, only one side mirror and it's a cheapie, screw-to-the-door type, not the XJ style, and base model 15x6 steel rims. my sportruck must be middle of the line. Its got both mirrors, the XJ style, but has the idiot lights, bench, but had the supersoaker carpet. How hard is it to switch a steering wheel? Ive got my hands on a interior-matching jeep wheel with the fake hex screws in it that I wanna put on. i have a steering wheel like that too. i think you need a steering wheel puller. if somone could confirm that...it would be super! -
Best of luck to you Cole. What do you do for the USAF? Keep safe, and try to give us updates!! :USAflag: :USAflag: :USAflag:

controll arm brackets might be the best solution. i don't believe you will ever retain the stock specs with a lifted vehicle, and aftermarket CA's. the controll arm brackets lower the upper, and lower controll arms 4 inches...so a 5 inch lift would be like a 1" lift with stock arms (does that make sence)?

i love what you have done with the rear bed...absolutely sick!

get a lazer temp meter to keep an eye on the temps. with the larger tires, you might need a new clutch bell...atleast with an Emaxx you do, not sure about T-Maxxes. i know quite a bit when it comes to maxx trucks. you need to run a battery pack with your reciever to power the steering/throttle servos, and if the battery runs out you could get a run away. those AA batery packs last around 8-10 tanks of gas before you need to chance them again. if you get a rechargeable pack, get one that is 6v...not 4.8, because it will be MUCH more sluggish. another word of advise, keep the bumper brackets plastic (Al bumpers are ok i think). if you go Al, they will bed, and break your bulkheads, which are a pain to change. again, if you need help with the truck in any way (except engine stuff/tuning) don't hesitate PMing me, because i LOVE to help people with this stuff.
