    T-maxx Value???

a word of advise: whenm buying bulkheads for maxx trucks, make SURE that you get good quality units. there are some VERY cheap ones that will break just as easily as the plastic ones. good ones are made by fastlane machine, and great assembly RC (6061 or 7075 aluminum) (i have the 7075). I would also HIGHLY recomend RPM a-arms. they weigh the same as plastic, but they are nylon and will not break. I have hit posts going ~40mph, and hit the control arm, which did not snap. the bulkheads did not either. if you get AL bulks, and arms, then one of those will bend. the RPM arms will bend, then rebound. http://www.greatassemblyrc.com/Store_De ... nfoID=3573 http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/products/t ... tm#3_3arms I don't know how new you are to Maxx's but I am very familiar. If you are familiar, please don't be offended. I'm just trying to give a little help.
  4. if you had a strong enough ram, would you even need a draglink?

  6. Some wheeling pics with the club today. I'm in the white Cherokee.
  7. the axles might be worth the price of the truck...depending on what you want to do with them.
  8. i have seen a couple places online. i can't remember where...quadratec maybe? what about a junkyard?
  9. once i get my welder, I'm going to do that and build a bumper.
  10. it might not be the computer limiting the memory amount, rather the operating system. do you have any friends that have computers with 1gb of memory? if you do, you might be able to borrow some and stick it in just long enough to boot windows, or even get into the BIOS to see how much it sees. if you don't have any computer buddies, then can you bring it into a local computer shop or even a compusa to have them test it out (some place must have spare 512mb ram sticks. id gladly give you a hand if you were a teeny bit closer. another thing to consider is the graphics rendering hardware AND software. I am assuming that so much memory is required because it is shared with the graphics. possibly running a graphics card in the AGP slot would help out. again, i don't know much about CAD programs...but maybe this helped a little.
  11. i like the idea of the tubing protecting the bottom of the bed. did you trim anything off of the bed to make it look like that?
  12. or you could get the RE 4.5 AAL kit for the XJ, and just sell the AAL and blocks when you get the kit to make $50 back.
  13. rubicon express has a nice lift. i think i might purchase that this summer. the cheapest option would be to browse the for sale forums on jeepforum, and naxja for used parts that you can get. for the rear, just buy new spring perches, a 1995 dakota rear flex line, new u bolts....a little welding and you have lifted the rear.
  14. maybe all metric ton packages? i know that some cam with AMC20 axles in the metric ton packages.

  16. what rims do you have now? you probably have 15x7. with 235's the tires will rub on the LCA's a tad...not much at all. i use stock wheels and i have 235's on both of my jeeps.
  17. glad to hear it was noting catastrophic. it would have sucked if you lost the mj :(
  18. :jump: :wavey: thx pete!!
  19. the tps is on the throttle body. where i have no idea. can somone answer that for me??? the TCU is a small gray box about the size of 3 dvd cases stacked ontop of eachother. its under the dash on the passenger side. there is an inline fuse there, and a fuse in the fuse pannel
  20. while you're at it, put the TC, and tranny in the MJ too :D
