  1. I saved a little wood turtle from the tractor and harrow yesterday. I felt bad for the little critter, so I moved him away. I also saved a little toad. I love little amphibians. I had a pet toad named Lily once.
  2. Did you grease them? That always makes it 100x easier.
  3. Stupid Mass. Get out before you become corrupt! lol. Rainy and stormy this weekend. I live about 40 miles west from Boston, and a little north.
  4. Bumper is made. I just need to do some minor trimming, and painting. The closest mout will be beefed up a little. That was the first one I made, and decided to do it differently the second time, and added that diagonal part. And my new shocks and JKS bar pin eliminators.
  5. I have about 6.5" in the rear with SOA and some 2" XJ lift shackles. I wouldnt go 6.5 with 33's though. I'd go maybe 5". I'm at 6.5" and fit 34's with NO problem. I could fit 36's, if I had tougher axles.
  6. Or go to Spencer Gifts and get a fake doo-doo.
  7. I already have rear shocks, and just need the fronts. I don't really want to do BPEs now. I'll get the shocks that have the bar pins in them then. Thanks guys!
  8. Some shocks come with bar pins already installed, and some come with just eyes (I noticed this while looking at Skyjacker shocks). Which would I want? Is it normal to pull out the bar pin form the old shocks, and use them for the new application? Here are the links. With bar pin. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16016_208.htm Without bar pin. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16016_212.htm These are for the front of an MJ with around 6.5" of lift. Thanks.
  9. Well lucky me, I have no bumper now, and all the bolts are removed with no breaks. Thanks guys.
  10. What size are the stock bolts that bolt the bumper to the frame? Thanks!!
  11. The D35 has a longer snout then the 8.25. About an inch longer. If you're lifting it, there might be some issues with the DS popping out.
  12. comancheman- I measured for you today, and it seems that I have about 6.5"-7" of lift . Much more then I expected! The springs on there are Skyjacker, and have been on just about every Jeep in my club.

Congrats guys. I was in the class of '06. Life is only as hard as you make it. Just be sure to make the right choices, and don't do anything stupid ;)
  15. Yeah, every place around here wants way to fricking much. Almost cheaper to buy new.
  16. Thanks CW!!!!!! Also, thanks for helping me with the plumbing pipe...I appreciate it!
  17. Already got it covered. I'm going to cut up an old tire, and put a layer of rubber on the bottom. Thanks!
  18. I got one of the rear bumpstops mounted and tested today. It did what I want, exactly when I want. don't make fun of it...I know it looks like @$$, but it does what I need. :D Yes, its made of plumbing pipe. The only force on it is verticle, so it should hold up. If it doesnt, then I will get better pipe. $12 for 10' of the stuff at Home Depot isnt too bad. Its 1/4" wall too.
  19. Ok. I don't want my springs to have negative arch...so I'll measure again. I trimmed my rear fenders a little to accomodate the 34's and It seems that I have plenty of room. Thanks
  20. I am making some rear bumpstops, and I measured them to stop the axle from going up when the leaf spring was flat. Is this the correct way to do this, or should I let it go more? Thanks
  21. Prorobly just a good torx set. Thats what I used, and miscelanious things like a screw driver or two, and some needle nose pliers.
  22. Well today was an interior day. This is what it looked like when I got it... And today... Thats a subwoofer in the middle. It doubles as an arm rest. I didnt feel like making mounts for a center console, so the sub gets the job. Now, I'm thinking of going on a June 9th trail run with my club. All I need to do is make a rear bumper, gas tank skid plate, get a spare tire, Autozone shocks, wire up a CB, make my bumpstops, and put front tow hooks on. Most of this stuff is easy......I'll be pricing steel tomorrow :D
  23. I thought SOA was easy...I pulled the axled, welded it up, painted it, and put it back in only a few hours. Unless you get Rusty's leaves like the ones CW has, it seems that 6.5" is VERY hard to get while staying SOA.
  24. Yeah, I got mine used. Lots of people have the LTB. Mitch just bought a set. Look around, there are quite a few deals.
