    got a ticket

To me, its where the sign starts, that the speed limit is in place. Do I always obey that rule? No. I usualy coast past the sign, then coast to the proper speed then resume from there. If its a place where a cop hides out, then I slow down at the sign, and procede from there. Good luck Pat. Wish you the best of luck fighting that ticket.
  3. Hey CW...the pipe wrench and jack idea worked great!! I used it today when installing my adjustable uppers. I had to rotate the axle which was being held by the springs. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the idea and pic!!!!!!!!
  4. My friend and I squeezed in 5.5" lift coils without a spring compressor. You might have to dosconnect the steering, and a sway bar along with the shock to make it droop enough.
  5. Do you have horses?
  6. Well selling everything just because of a few dead computers is (pardon my French) retarded. I've used abspc.com twice now and they are awesome people with awesome prices. OR just keep your laptop, and download XJ via a torrent site, and load that onto the computer and call it done. My XP machine is quite reliable. Just my two cents ;)
  7. drain the resovoir and refill? Maybe empty it with a turkey baster of you can't find a drain plug.

  14. Holy crap. I'd have trouble sleeping at night if I were in your shoes
  15. I remember somone on this site saying that yard was hellishly expensive. Am I wrong?
  16. Mitch, what time are you going? If you're going to be there around noon (thats when I get home)...PM me, and if you want, you can stop by (I'll drive there then you can follow me back) and see how I did my SOA. I'm not even 7 minutes from Elias. EDIT: You're probobly going Monday morning, not Tuesday...I'll be in class.
  17. yeah, yards in MA suck. they want $408479414 for a leaf spring and make you go get it. there was this hitch off a 2000 XJ that was really rusty. i spent 90 mins fighting with it and got 2 bolts out. i inquired about the price to see if it was worth getting....$75 for that pos. Mitch, did you get my PM on NEJ about the tuesday?...i think the PMs might be having some troubles.
  18. I think Skyjacker springs are softer.

    Single Dad ???

Yeah, if you get overwhelmed by it you will get discouraged. Always have somthing that you enjoy doing (Jeeping ;) ) so when you need to cool off or lighten your spirits you can go do that activity. I'm sure that you aren't the only guy who has gone through somthing like this. Is there a local support group that you could contact to get some info? Maybe there is a network of people that have a meeting once or twice a month to discuss their issues like this? :wavey:
  21. holy craaaaaap thats a monster! you might have said it before...but what are the specs on the tires?

    Single Dad ???

My neighbor is a single dad. He is having a helluva time trying to get more time with his daughter. The mom has some mental issues(), and can wreak havok on his schedule, and wallot. He is always running up to Maine (~2.5 hours away) to pick up or drop off his daughter. Its not fun  I wish you the best of luck Watson. Stay strong and try to keep a positive attitude.
  23. Yeah, they replace the little rubber line. If you get the YJ brake line which is 4" longer then stock, then straighten out that bend in the hard line you can get 5-6" of brake line. Check this thread on NAXJA...it will explain things really well. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.p ... rake+lines For the rear you can get a mid 90's Dodge Dakota line. I have it on my MJ and with SOA there is PLENTY of slack left. My problem is my e-brake cables max out before anything else.
  24. Mitch, you can get some YJ brake lines, or a GM pick up truck lines. Those are cheap, and much longer then stock.
  25. Looks great man!
