  9. I just took them off the axle. And yeah my alignment is a bit off ill be getting that done soon. Also i can think all i want to but its gonna be a tad before i will be able to afford the adjustable track bar and such. I don't think its gonna stay this high either I wana go higher as soon as i get a job Brandon
  10. Nothing is "torqued" but tight with air tools. I went though and tightened every thing down before I put the tires on and set it on the ground but the front 2wd axle was held up by a full size jack. But it is posible that i missed something seeing as how it was 4 in the morning and had been working on this for like 8hr's. To put on the lower control arms we had to loosen and take off the uppers then we put them back on. Do you think thats good? Come tuesday i have access to a lift at my old high school thanks to the shop teacher so ill be able to do any thing that is needed to stop the creaking. Thanks Brandon Oh and ill have pics up on this thread my next post :D
  11. Ever since i installed the front part of my RC 4.5" lift kit my head lights have looked 10 times brighter. Before this i only had the rear end of the lift kit installed and was sitting like a drag racer with the a$$ end of the truck up in the air. Because of this I was riding around with my bright lights on to see the road. Well since my lights are pointing forward now i went to turn off the bight lights and the head lights shut off. But the parking lights were still on. So after playing with the bright light switch i found out the only way that i had lights was to hold the bright light switch while driving. After getting home i played with the switch for a bit and got my normal low beam head lights to come on with out holding the switch but the blue bright light, light stayed on. Now if I try and turn on my bright lights the lights shut off and i have to play with that switch to get any head lights back on. I'm thinking its a bad connection some where in the steering column where the head light switch is. Any thoughts on what to do to fix this? How do i even get to the switch? Do i have to pull apart the entire steering column? Any thoughts of how to fix this would be great. thanks! Brandon
  12. A friend of mine helped me Installed the front part of a RC 4.5" lift the morning of (4:00 am) my high school graduation as a graduation present. The parts we installed are 4.5" coils, lower control arms, shocks, and Swaybar drop brackets. Since then there has been a lot of creaking up front when going over much of any thing. I was wondering if there was any thing i could grease up to make this creaking go away? Or is this just the new parts settling in place? Thanks Brandon
  13. Ive heard both flowmaster 40 and supper 44, and the supper 44 is much quieter. I know thats what I put on my truck and i love it. Not very loud but still sounds very nice. Should be fine for you old ears  Oh and that is with a working cat. Brandon
  14. I think that trying to find parts for it would be a pain the a$$. If i could get it for $1500 i would do it :D Brandon
  15. Even better then a kit, what all does it take to make a "long arm" kit? Brandon
  16. So not only do I need new front brake lines but i will need Extended Front Brake Lines for the 4.5" lift soon to be upfront. What all do I need? I know I need longer brake lines, duh, but how long? Should I go with stainless steel brake lines or is that not needed? I know rough country sells an extention "kit" (part # 89702) but I feel that I can order the same stuff thats in the kit for cheeper then the kit would be. Thanks Brandon
  17. Oh wow you went fancy battery lol :dunce: I did the 96 XJ BB and MC upgrade and let me say OMG!!!!! Them brakes feel brand new, %100 better. I tried it, and even with a bunch of weight in the bed (like 500+ lbs) I could smoke my tires while on the brakes! Great upgrade, I think that every body should do this even if you have stock size street tires. Brandon
  18. Why do you need a new fender if your just replacing the hinges and latch? Brandon
  19. I would say 4.5 hell creek lift and go with a 4:10 gearing if you wana go up to 33's. If you have a dana 35 rear like I'm sure you do unless your lucky, go with a ford 8.8 rear out of a 96-01 ford explorer. and it might be cheeper and smarter to go with a locker in the rear instead of converting to 4x4. Its alot of work, a lockers not. Brandon

  22. Mine had one. Brandon
  23. Got ya. Make sure that the pinion angle is right if you need to re do perches :ack: Oh and is it 4x2 or 4x4? If 4x2 you could use this as a good time to upgrade your gearing :D Brandon
