  1. no, it may still be available though. ill contact the guy i got the doors from. is it loomed under the dash, or avross the floirs?
  2. so I'm ready to start swapping on some of my rust free parts ive collected. i have PW\PL doors off a 1996 cherokee, my 1990 truck has manual locks and window doors. i havent started dis assembling the old doors for removal yet. what am i gonna be in for with the wiring making the power windows and locks work with the cherokee doors on my Comanche?
  3. ive heard that the stroker motors tend to run hotter, but thats internet chatter, i have no proof of that yet😁. ive also heard that the high flow water pumps are great for off road crawling\low RPMs. I'm an old school street racer, i don't like my motors running on the ragged edge of overheating, just for cleaner emissions at the tailpipe. when your getting to 215-220+ your fluids are at thier limits, oil, trans fluid, even the coolant. this chassis wasnt designed for the 4.0 and it shows with so many owners having issues with running hot\overheating. I'm happy with my cooling system as it is now with the mods ive done, it has given me the confidence to be able to drive my 4.0 anywhere in any weather and not worry.

  5. very sorry for your loss, pets are truly family. i lost my wife in 2014, in 2019 at the start of covid i got a new puppy, her name is Tara shes the white pit on the right, shes a 75lb big ball of love. i swear my wife sent me this dog, shes my best freind. the staffy on the left is Jack he is my 9yr old sons best buddy. life just isnt right without a dog in your life, i hope you find another soon👍
  6. a 1992 just listed near me yesterday, 1500.00. needs rockers and cab corners. short bed
  7. no worries man, i wasnt trying to correct you, you were right, they are V8 ZJ springs too, in addition to also being what i said👍
  8. this is the best, cheapest XJ 4.0 cold air kit ive seen. its about 35 bucks total cost and all your vaccum lines stay put. i have all the parts needed purchased off Ebay, eventually it will be on here on my project 10BEARS build thread.
  9. moog cc782s are also the replacements for early MJ, XJ off road group springs, and the later XJ upcountry spring, good for 1" lift over stock👍
  10. almost forgot the newer style curved blade Efan is an upgrade if you don't already have one, it moves more air than the older straight blade style.
  11. i flush my XJ every spring and fall. these 4.0 XJs and MJs cooling systems seem to run dirty from what ive seen. i live in the Detroit area, in the summer we get in the 90's often with very high humidity like Florida, or south texas. my 2000 XJ with a new motor, water pump, and stock style radiator would run way too hot with my AC on to the point of nearly over heating. i had to turn the AC off and stop a few times. so i incorporated alot of the tricks from naxja.org etc. i started with a ZJ fan clutch, then a 180° Stant Tstat with a 1\8" weep hole drilled at the top, my pump and radiator were good, less than 2000 miles on them, so i moved on to adding a switch inline on my factory Efan. i used my factory rear wiper switch, becuase ive never used a rear wiper in my life. i run a 70% water 30% anti freeze mix in the summer, 50\50 in winter, swapping out and reverse flushing the heater core every fall, and spring. I also use Waterwetter coolant additive in summer, it really does work. now in the heat and humidity my XJ never sees 200° with my AC on full blast. And the coldest days its 185-190, plenty of heat in the winter, i have zero ill effects from not running too hot, milage and power are the same as before the changes. hope this helps and good luck.
  12. youll need a good rachet and enough extensions to reach the CPS from under the truck. use a Jack and you can remove the fasteners on the trans crossmember and you can lower it with the jack for a little more room. theres a few vids on youtube on how to change it that will probably demontrate it better than my explanation lol.
  13. cool thread, super nice truck! I'm following, i also have a 1990 eliminator👍
  14. all solid mods for a new Renix owner lol, I'm going through the same process on my 90'. I'm following, also jeepcables.com is a veteran owned company👍👍
  15. thats actually the original manufacturer for Jeep, sorry i just saw your post, i assumed these were NLA due to the high prices for used ones.
  16. comparing the size differences between a stock MJ and XK interior\courtesy lights. ill be going this route to replace mine in my restomod project 10BEARS. i think this is the best route for me because they are Jeep parts for one, and they are plentiful and very cheap. this XK light was 10$ shipped to my door, and id imagine even less money at pic-n-pull. the actual install in the interior panel will be shown on my build thread on here.
  17. I'm sure some are aware of this site, i was not and I'm just shareing here. they have stuff that i thought was no longer being made. pretty cool, check it out. https://teamcherokee.com/
  18. very cool truck. I'm following👍
  19. great info thanks! ive already purchased the front half of my lift and wasnt sure what to do about the rear, i didmt want the AALs that came with the full kit. I'm thinking the Rusty's leafs sound like the way to go, i bought the Zone 4.5" setup for the front on special from Morris4x4👍
  20. wow, thats good to know.
  21. the factory lift on the XJ cherokees was only 1" . Moog makes a replacement front spring part# CC782 which would also work on a MJ, and Crown automotive makes a heavy duty rear leaf as an upcountry replacement for the XJ, I'm sure they probably have a MJ leaf replacement as well. i don't know the parts #s though, but I'm sure can be found on the interwebs.
  22. thanks for all the answers guys, that brochure is really neat ill have to keep my eye out on Ebay for one. so it had the same name as the early XJs " the off road package". pretty cool👍
  23. so I'm pretty well versed on XJs, and fairly new to MJs. the XJs had 2 off road packages during thier production run, the off road package, and the upcountry package. both were basically the same consisting of a 1" lift with tow hooks, skid plates, and sometimes a trans cooler, and upgraded gears plus a rear LSD. my question is, did the Comanche have a similiar factory off road package?
  24. Well i found some rust free fenders, and another spare header panel for 10BEARS today. i gotta tell you, marketplace useing the search alerts works when youre hunting parts. Have 3 spare header panels now that I'm just gonna hang onto in case i ever need one
