  1. The fitment looks proper in the video than in the prototype pictures, good to see it was fixed! Lots of people had worries about that.
  2. I can't find any results on amazon with that number
  3. Yea I would wait till MTS replies to you, you could always put an ad in the wanted section. Maybe someone has a spare.
  4. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265058216240?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818143230%26meid%3Db4ac0a01505f4eeab5cdfc41023eebee%26pid%3D101224%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D372766136008%26itm%3D265058216240%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DDefaultOrganicWeb%26brand%3DDelphi&_trksid=p2047675.c101224.m-1 Found this on ebay
  5. I don't think XJ axles changed until 2000 and they should be the same under the MJ....... unless i'm wrong?
  6. I have this head unit in mine: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-57twfm4V640/p_500UTE73BT/Alpine-UTE-73BT.html?XVINQ=GZ0&XVVer=144Z&awcr=628539558416&awdv=c&awnw=g&awug=9004171&awkw=pla-434008755498&awmt=&awat=pla You'd need to wire it to fit to the MJ harness. I've used it with the stock speakers and I don't think it sounds half bad so I'd think it'll sound much better with an aftermarket system. Couldn't tell you what aftermarket speakers to go with though.
  7. Update: So I finally got the parts XJ home and block doesn't look like its in great shape. The wiring harness, injectors and pretty much everything else was shot. I couldn't shift the tranny, I think it's because the clutch cable melted- I haven't gotten under to look yet. This was sitting with no hood on it in the tow yard for about a week and a half with about 2 days of poor weather. The intake manifold cracked and it looked like there was some particulates on the dipstick when I pulled it. I'll be purchasing an engine hoist soon to get this out of the jeep. I've never torn down an engine before so this will be a first.
  8. Could you link the thread? I can't find it.
  9. How much should I be paying for a non cracked junkyard one
  10. I think those are just stock Cherokee flares
  11. What parts of it did you need to rebuild? How did you know what parts got damaged?
  12. Yea I should've been more specific, I didn't mean replace cams valves etc, but more like would the fire have warped the head so that it would need to be machined? Stuff like that.
  13. Cheap parts XJ near me had an engine bay fire. I don't know the complete severity of it yet and I will be going to look at it soon but in the pictures it seems that the top of the dash melted because the front windshield broke but below the steering column its fine. The front doors are also somehow fine. I needed it for the doors and tranny but curious if a 4.0 in a fire could rebuilt? I'll update with pictures.
  14. If I'm correct, you could swap the bell housing from internal to external?
  15. Is an internal slave 4x4 AX-15 about 500 as well?
  16. And is this just for the transmission? not the transfer case? Locally I mean.

    Goodbye AMC HQ

    Sad!
  20. I have an 88 4x4. The bearings bolts I put in I torqued down to 75 ft lbs each. I torqued the axle nut (i think that's what its called?) to 175 ft lbs and placed what looked like a castle-nut shaped retaining cover and cotter pin into their previous positions. It drove around with no issue. Do I need to go back and tighten it further?
  21. Replacing my front wheel hub/bearing and I all the information on google was for the 2wd bearing torque specs at 175 ft-lbs. Is it the same for 4x4? Also is there a specific oil grade I should be using for the spindle to lubricate it when the bearing is finally on?
  22. A quick visual inspection from the ones on my truck seem to be identical to the ones on the 88 Cherokee menu. Will try these.
  23. Broke my 1/4 swivel trying to get the last bolt out with my impact. To be fair it was a chrome socket, but I guess you have to learn the hard way sometimes. I can't imagine trying to work on a salt truck
  24. I can't find any on the 88 comanche drop down menu unless I'm not looking in the right spot.
  25. Update: 1/2 bolt extractor plus some mapp gas and PB blaster did the trick! No idea why those bolts were 12-point to begin with
