I can't see myself getting to extreme with it, mostly sand dunes with some mud. the 208 is suppose to be around a 2.5 to 1. I'm definately going to look into the double stacking thing though, because it looks like an awesome setup. i think i'm going to stay with the 700 for sure, i want to go to the 205 for its dependability, but the 208 is supposedly a pretty decent outfit. i have a nasty habit of wanting to go extreme for no apparent reason, espeicially when i know i'm not going to beat on it lol! boys n toys i suppose.

ur goign to Manitoba? Want some nice 4X4 trails hit up northern Ontario. Swamps that will barry any 4X4. perhaps Pete needs a tour? Good luck with the trip have fun, if ur 19 then take advantage and get wasted lol!

the 700 would be nice for what i'm looking for then i think. it will see some offroading like sand dunes and a little mud and what not but I can't see myself doign anything major to it. I will try to get the 700 with the 205, on another website they said the same thing. it has a 305 with th350 in it right now, but i figured if i was doing the 4x4 conversion, i might as well upgrade for the price of nothin.

get a parts 4X4 XJ. u should be able to pick them up super cheap(usually around 150 for a complete one where i am) and transfer everything over. i'm being told its the simplest way, and you don't ahe to worry about things not fitting. -
it was poop in the sand though. couldn't make it up n e of the big hills that even the 4cyl yj could. such a shame...

i mi ght raise the body (although i don't like it either fella's) simply because if I want to take it back to origional I can withough doing the body work. but then again, i would have to cut a whole to put the tcase shifter in n e way so we'll see. i'm not afraid of the welding, its just sumthing i don't like doign on sheet metal thanks for the sites. i will check them out this weekend. Thanks for the help everyone

put a bottle jack inbetween something secur snd the rim, slowly add a lil pressure and pop it goes. works on semi trucks and tractor trailers.. -
hey brett hows that shifter install coming? (if you got to it yet) i'm super excited to see the outcome. i don't know if the flat bed is an immediate option, i would consider tow bar first or tow dolly...definatelyy better to go with a normal truck. he's been crusing around on here so I'm sure he's read this post already
-
lol more like 400 one way. i'll let him know to go chev or ford thanks guys
-
ur one lucky sob..lol good luck withthe build, I'm excited to see how it looks when your done
-
i wasn't sure, a buddy of mine was interested in possibly buying one, but he needs a serious truck. so i though maybe with a d44 and upgraded leafs it would work. i guess not?
-
how does it tow a flat bed? think it would pull A yj on a flat bed super easily? or would it flat tow a lot easier?
-
what would you replace it with? D300?
-
