i just bought new tires for my 89 mj and wanted to set the camber before i started driving on them. my tires essentially look like this \ \ / / and are wearing very unevenly i am aware offset balljoints are available but at $100 bucks a pop id rather not go that route, on napas web site they list the cams that you place in the spindle before the balljoint and u can rotate to spec but is it possible to use these if they werent factory? what does everyone else do? just looking for ideas TIA, tim

ok ive got some issues that i need to fix asap but i don't know what to fix. i have a noise coming from my tcase. it sounded like my drive chain stretched and was rubbing against the case so i replaced the chain, it still made the noise after the new chain was in so i did some experimenting. with the tcase in neutral and tranny in drive i can hear it if i go underneath the truck. it still sounds just like the chain rubbing but the chain isnt even spinning when the tcase is in neutral. what is spinning in the tcase while in the neutral position? any ideas?

ive had it running. it ran before i bought it then the starter went bad i picked it up off my buddy for 200 bucks bought a used starter. it wouldnt start until i squirted it w/ some carb cleaner now it runs but not very well it idles sometimes its just very inconsistent. its a diaphram style carb which i will probably end up rebuilding. i don't have a digi camera but will try to find some pictures online.

i just bought an old 1981 kawasaki js 440 and i am tryin to get it running good but i have a really stupid question: where can i hook up a hose so the motor is cooled? also there is a fill plug on the motor by the ring gear but i have no clue what to put in it i don't see why it would require oil feel free to relocate or delete this post if i am to far from the normal comanche world

check grounds in the light bulb socket. i had a bad ground in my left front blinker. when i would turn on the left turn signal my hazards would go off along with light in the floor by the tcase lever. i pulled out the bulb and bent the tab that grounds the bulb in the socket then reinstalled and my problems went away -
does your truck run?

hey i drive an s-10 and yes it even has a 4cyl yes it is 2wd no it doesnt even have a tape player. but its gets 25mpg and takes my @$$ back and forth to work everyday and it has even seen a little trail action. it serves its purpose well. on rainy days i can burn um through third gear, as long as I'm goin up a slight hill. o and yes i do still have my balls :D

just an idea, but maybe the fuel pump is on its way out and it doesnt make enough pressure to start the motor but is sufficient to keep it running once it has been started.

pull off the inspection cover on the bellhousing and look for anything abnormal on the flywheel. if u need to replace the flywheel u should drain the fluid from the tranny before u drop it. i would replace the cps anyway before i dropped the tranny unless it was very evident that the flywheel needed replacing.

i believe that the 9 inch out of a first generation bronco is the correct wisth for the cherokee however they were the weakest years for the 9 inch. and are those some original bfg all terrains similiar to those that daisy duke's "dixie" was equipped with on your cj?
-
now i could be wrong but, Dirty i think u need to check your sources. no wait u must have been refering to the drain and fill when your jeep is on its roof

here's a pic of one on a comanche, honestly I'm not a fan of the look but i think it may just be because of the rest of this truck http://www.mattsoldcars.com/gallery/ken ... manche.jpg
