I'm thinkin about rockkrawler, jks, or rubicon express. not sure if i like the heim joint on the rock krawler one though. I'm at 5.5 inches and want to be able to eventually go a little higher 7.5 at max. will be running short arms for a while maybe with drop brackets. looking for opinions. :cheers:

They're a great option! For some reason, they cost a pretty dime. but the flex is amazing from them, and the people that have used them say that they don't get hung up on things like everyone assumes. not tryin to be an a$$ but its funny how opinions change

ive been reading around in other forums and ive heard alot of bad things about running the drop brackets without the braces for the xj. if i install these am i going to have to worry about ripping them out of the stock pocket?

well i pulled the bulb out of the right turn signal socket and put it back. . . what do u know, back to normal :cheers:

actually, i know its not the harness or the cluster at all because it does the same thing now with no cluster intalled or the original cluster installed. i must have hit somthing pulling the speedo cable off the back

ok i have a harness from a 1990 ill compare those tomorrow also but I'm gonna start with the ground

would the wires be in different places from 88 to 90? ill check those grounds tomorrow

i know that something weird is goin on because even before i did the swap and everything was working ok, my left turn signal was lit up like i had a bulb out but all my lights worked fine

sorry but whats the T/s ciruit. where could i find the ground? if i could understand my wiring diagram i could find it myself.

well i tried putting the old cluster back in and same thing happened so i tried it with no cluster and it still happened. when i turn on the right blinker no problem when i turn on the left blinker the right and left signal go on and the tcase lever light. the same thing happens when i turn on my hazards. wtf???

i used the one from the donor xj it was kind of a pain to pull it through the fire wall but just keep pullin and itll come out. i don't know if u could get one from your auto parts store.

i did it on my 90 and i didnt need any brackets for the tranny just the longer cable. it took me a few hours and wasnt to hard at all

could you run the JCR one ton setup OTK by reaming out from the top instead of the bottom?

well i already ordered the starter pack. if i need more ill get it, theres no rush. and by silver u mean in color right, theres not like a special por15 silver. i just got the starter pack and picked silver for the color

would the super starter kit be enough to cover my driver side floor. one 4oz. can, the marine clean and metal ready?

just had a thought. is the t case shift lever light even connected to the cluster? not the one on the cluster the one on the floor. maybe i bumped a coonection while pulling of the speedo cable from underneath the dash?

i swapped the oil pressure sender but not the coolant one because i need to buy it but the oil pressure and voltage gauge work fine. and how should i go about checking for shorts on the board?

both 4.0 automatic neither have the h.o. motor. harness will only go in one way i checked twice.

my 88 comanche pioneer had the idiot lights and fuel gauge for the blind. i have a cluster from an 89 cherokee limited with the tac and gauges. today i swapped the clusters. once everything was hooked up i no longer had a working fuel gauge it did work when it was in the donor vehicle. then i hit the right turn signal good so far, now for the left turn signal. . . on comes my right blinker my left blinker and the light on the floor by the t case shift lever help me please!!!
