I'm not positive but i believe that the emissions light comes on at a certain mileage. it doesnt mean something is neccesarily wrong its more of a recommendation to maybe change an O2 sensor. there is a clear box with small plastic gears inside it under the right side of the driverside dash where this "timer" is located you can probably reset it form the box but ive never done it. just putting some ideas out there

  5. so i was just looking at the rustys track bar and it looks just like the rock krawler tb are they the same thing?
  6. anyone running the rockkrawler track bar? it looks nice and fits my budget, kind of
  7. would it droop enough to keep it on with the 5.5 in coils or will i definetly have to get a new one. i don't plan on driving it at all until a the track bar is replaced.
  8. why wouldnt i be able to steer? none of the steering linkage is attached to the trackbar. I'm not questioning the wisdom of pete the jeep God, just curious.
  9. this weekend i plan on putting my 5.5 in re coils under the mj with re adj LCAs. eventually i plan on gettin CA drop brackets and adj UCAs. i know I'm gonna have to do something with the trackbar as soon as i put the coils in. what would be the result of removing the trackbar entirely. i DO NOT plan on driving it more then in and out of the garage without the trackbar. but i just wanted to make sure nothing else will happen if i do this until money allows me to buy a trackbar. what are people using for their trackbars? the JKS and RE look nice but I'm not sure if the RE will work for the amount of lift i have. i also want to be able to adjust it to accomodate up to 7.5 inches of lift just because i have the spacers already and can't always control myself. thanks, tim
  10. i bought a pacesetter header for my 88 4.0 the supplied y pipe didnt even line up with the header its wasnt bent right. i really wasnt to pleased with the quality of the product. i never actually ran it so i couldnt tell u about performance gains.

  12. yeah all I'm lookin for is to be able to go out and spend a day on the trail with my buddys or make my way out to the local party spot for the night on weekends. well, ill save up for some drop brackets also i guess
  13. i was also wondering about using control arm drop brackets. i know that there not the best option but for a temporoary fix and some light off road use would they hold up?
  14. the pan hard bar is the same as a trackbar right? as for the CA's, i plan on using the jeep for my daily driver and some weekend wheelin but i guess ill just take it easy till i can go to long arms.
  15. alright thanks guys hey freerocknok u said ur at around 5 inches in the front. i ordered a set of rubicon express 5.5 inch coils and now i can only get adjustable LCAs will this be ok or will i need adj uppers as well?
  16. can someone tell me where i can find some greasable rear shackles for my mj? i am looking to get around and inch to 1.5 inches of lift. i wouldnt mind more if it won't push my axle to far forward. would a two inch lift xj shackle give me the desired inch?
  17. my buddy said he'd sell me brand new RE adj UCA and used RE adj LCA for 300 bucks. what would u guys recommend for the maximum lift height i should run with these control arms?

  21. damn previous owners. :headpop: as if the bondo'd over spray foam body filler wasnt enough. u guys think i should believe his story about the odometer cable breaking the previous week to me buying it? and he says it needs an exh manifold but theres one in the bed that hes willing to give me. he doesnt mention its for the chrysler head and that it also has a crack. good thing ive got a spare tcase around here
  22. I'm pretty sure that both would have the chrysler auto tranny. it should bolt up w/o a problem
  23. i noticed the blue vaccum line that plus into the tcase isnt hooked up to anythin by the firewall. where shold this go and could this be part of the problem
  24. positive the light isnt malfunctioning. when i floor it in my dirtdrive way frnt and rear wheels spin.
