Axle swap 8.25 crysler axle
SW86 replied to 89comancheowner's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
barnes 4x4 has the longer perches as well. i got mine from jegs or summit can't really remember which but they are just the standard mopar perches. still good though. make sure to get the 29 spline not the 27 8.25. -
i just now got an iphone since i was due an upgrade from my original razor. wish i would of gotten the android but i didnt know i could at the time. i paid basicly nothing for it so i said why not. it makes surfing the web, texting, calling all that stuff easy as hell. emails on the go and everything. way better than a flip phone. of course ive had an ipod classic but ive had that forever. it was a huge step over cds. so i went for it. now my iphone does it all so theres no point in the ipod :dunno:

haha, rebel flag headliner. just check everything you touched when you installed the lift and go over every steering and trac bar components

hey what do they say,,, for snow a front wheel drive car is the best bet right. yes the steering will be tighter with lunchbox up front but its not bad at all. you might get some clicking when making sharper turns as well but thats just the teeth of the locker spinning freely over the other teeth. it eventually will wear down and you won't even hear it.. that or youll just get used to it. mine really only does it when I'm backing up at a sharp angle. full lock really. and as for more effective offroad i say yes. it pulls up up onto something as where the rear would just push. if your really hardcore a locker front and rear, you'd be pretty much set. i often hit a spot or two where both my fronts can't grab and that one wheel in the rear is just spinning or in the air. lame. thats only in some hairy situations though

the vaccum just locked the two axle shafts on the pass side together. since you have a single piece shaft on the pass side now you don't need it. the transfer case is what makes it all go round.

just run it as high as you want and throw on a small cone filter

thats one of my favorite choices to watch when the niece and nephew come over. the one with the MJ has been coming on a lot.

a fulltime locker in the rear for a DD isnt a good idea in my mind. others beg to differ but why not just lock the front first? its not even there until your in 4wd. if you really want to go cheap, go to a junk yard pull some spider gears out of another axle and weld them in in the empty spots between the others. redneck locker buddy! haha i just threw one in a buddies toyota and its kicking some @$$ i do however run a spartan in the front and its awsome. hasnt let me down yet.

^^^ nailed it. if you do like playing in water and such just buy a longer hose and route it up towards the bed.

a lot more info is needed then that to even start at a base price. motor, tranny, 2wd or 4, mileage, etc. then you get into stuff like add ons and upgrades. it not as easy as its in good shape give me a price. then you have where you live also factors in. i mean the list goes on and on but give the basics first

well the company (radiator express) basicly told me I'm screwed. first he tried to say that any 84-90 jeep didnt come with an insert period. i said well come look at mine because its there and its stock. then he said it wasnt in the discription on the page. i went to it and read it to him. he over looked that ONE sentence. finally he said i could send it back and they'll send a new one. however, it may not have the insert either. he said they've never had a complaint on that radiator. so i said, i guess I'm the first out of (however many he said) to get @#$%ed then. he said i could send it back for a refund. ON MY DIME. now this really pisses me off. i have a radiator without the insert and have to pay to get my money back. he said i should just spend the money and rig up a switch or spend the money to send it back for the rest of my cash. what kind of company is this!!! :wall: :headpop: maybe as the week goes on itll work its self out some more...........i doubt it though anyway I'm looking at rigging up a in cab switch or finding whatever the guys posted above me said. help

Eliminating Built-in Radiator Tranny Cooler?
SW86 replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
 should of read your post more thoroughly. mine is still connected to the radiator. those things are pretty small so i don't know if it would keep it cool by its self. seems like it could but i wouldnt place a lot on that. try it and let us know how the next tranny install goes :D -
Eliminating Built-in Radiator Tranny Cooler?
SW86 replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i actually have one stock and my trans (AW4) never seems to get "hot". i don't have a gauge or anything so i can't back it up with numbers but i believe its doing the job its supposed to be doing and doing it well -
well I'm pissed. my new radiator doesnt have one and its supposed to. is this a problem besides not kicking on the fan? i don't want to cut wires up and run a switch in-cab when there should be one in the f-in radiator. yes, i called the company and havent heard back :fs1:
-
replaced power steering line and my radiator comes in today!
-
havent tried it but thats the design id look for when buying a new one from any company.
-
installed my spartan today. the jeep climbs like its supposed to now man i should update my build thread sometime........@#$% it

best option would be get a new bar. RC bars suck balls. ive had two and they both f'd up. i went on and bought a Rock Krawler bar and have had no issues, period.
