  2. They should fit but they are thick gears instead of normal. Also the bolts in the ring gear are different size. I think they go up to 7/16th or higher i just can't remember off the top of my head. Cole
  3. I have actually research this before i painted mine i didnt find them to have been. I know XJs have and there are a crapload of them still being used some places. Even where I'm at in the desert there are more XJs on the base then asnything else but they are all OLd and been here awhile. I may have missed something but from my research NO. Cole
  4. Thats cool I'm CE Readiness or DP for the old timers and Emergency managment for the New new guys. You know you got to miss being CE though. I thought since you were in colorado you might be at the School. Cole
  5. Soo you want to come visit at Shaw AFB SC and pull mine for me????? :rotf: J/K so your buildin a harness for it or ordering one. I am sure you said building one but i wanted to check cause i might need to buy one for My 2.5. Great job and keep us informed Cole
  6. OK i ddi sound systems before the military and have doen this to a MJ but not mine cause it didnt please me to much.. You can buy thin boxes and mount them in the panels but make sure you buy speakers with thin depth as said before. Also the panels need to be more secure or what we done was cut the panel just right so there was a 1/4" gap around the inclosure and it didnt rattle to bad unless it was alot of bass. Next to mount we used a bracket to the floor so it didnt run screws out the side3 of the cab. they were on each side of the box (toward the front and rear of truck) and were made of shelf type L-Brackets. The BAD: the box is so small that the sound could be distorted easy due to it not being appr. size for the speaker. I took and normal box you would use for a 6x9 and mounted them to the floor instead of panels to fix this cause the sound was everything for me. Hope this helps and if you have any questions let me know. Cole
  7. Off topic for a second.... Are you in the Academy??? What career field you going for?? OK just had to ask I'm in the AF but I'm enlisted and i seen your Name and thought i would ask. Cole
  8. I know ford ranger wheels fit but I'm not sure if LIncoln wheels would but i would throw it up and see if i were you. Cnt turn down free you can scrap them if they don't work. Cole
  9. Its crazy how much its grown. I was over here for 2 months before i got a chance to check on the site and i couldnt believe all the new people. It is crazy how it exploded but something else that stikes me is everyone on the site still gets along. Even though there are all these new people everyone seems to mesh.. Cole
  10. http://www.Avengersuperchargers.com Thats what you need. I have put this in alot of threads hoping someone had more money then me could do it and let us see how it works. :brows:  Cole
  11. Damn i could have gotten a J10 setup for the MJ awhile back for 50 bucks and thought i didnt want to mess with it. it even had 4.10s or something close. That was when i thought of going fullwidth. Thansk for the info i just wanted to make sure it wasnt overlooked if i was right. Cole
  12. For what i matters i forsee the rear axle as being something that needs upgrded I am thinking its got 2 piece shafts unliek the MJ one. I was just thinking i would mention it if it hasnt been brought up before. Cole
  13. I am using a SCBA tank wall bracket like fire or hazmat teams would use. I am getting it free since we updated in my shop at Shaw but they arent to bad. And they just let it clip in so you can grab it and it pops right out but it holds secure when its in there Cole
  14. Well all i can say is start saving cash cause you are going to get addicted. Cole
  15. IIRC Zerk was one of the saviors of the CDX company back when they bought AMC. He brought them back and helped them get back going. If he gets it he might go back to the old days and scrap all the crappy ones in order to save the Name. But i believe toyota would be great. Also Toyota makes more of there stuff in the US then alot of the big 3 do. The big 3 count on cheap parts from Mexico and other countries when Toyota does alot of it in the US. Even though its owned by Oriental country i believe at times its more American then the Big 3 as of now. Cole
  16. Well another cheap idea would be to just drill the hole straight thru and use Hiem joints and bolts with nuts on the knuckle to flip it. I guess that would save money but you would have to I mean HAVE to check the bolts As often as You can to insure they are tight. I wouldn't really recommend it without some of the other guys saying its good but its a Idea i had for mine before i decided to go the Go-fer-it way. if you get the right Hiems they may go right in your stock linkage but they can be noisy. Just another of many ideas Cole
  17. Honestly which one is more reliable and which one is in the best shape. I know i would love to own 10 MJs but you have 2 right?? I would keep the 5.2 just for the power and fun plus it has a nice drivetrain that could make a nice Trail MJ down the road :brows: Cole
  18. I had heard they were going to make a nitro jeep type deal but i didnt think it was going to be like this. I have thought the real nitro looked mroe like a jeep then what the are selling for jeeps but i don't know about this thing. I acctually don't hate it but its not top on my list. Oh and on the Jeep Corp note i was watching some news show and they were discussing the Jeep and what has happened to it and the guys were saying the have messed up big and they better rethink there actions or the will loose all the credit with people like us. The best part was the guys were not Car or Jeep guys the were Like stock market and consumer annalyst. Now you know its bad when the egg heads they don't even drive Jeeps know you have screwed up. Cole
  19. It also helps it not bind during flex. Honestly if you want to kill 2 birds you could do a High steer conversion and with that it will fix the steering angles and it also allows you to upgrade to a heavy duty steerng linkage. Thats just my opinion on the subject but if money is tight there are cheap ways to fix it and there are home fab stuff you can do to flip you drag link on top of the axle. And if your real good at fab then you could even make something decently cheap. Hope this steers you in the right direction. Cole
  20. I would go by the caster on the axle and put it stock. All you need is a angle finder and then you need to adjust your control arms to whatever the setting needs to be. Cole

  23. First Q answer is YES i run 35s on mine and wheel it all the time with no breaks and its not recomended to go above 31-33s if you wheel it i don't know how mine is still together. Second Q Answer is no you have to move the perches and mess around with brake parts and then it still might allow your tires to rub on the frame depending on backspacing but I'm not sure what you need to clear it good. I'm sure the 8.8 guys know more i am going D44!!! ALSO As Oizarod was right i am the one that spun my Hou8sing on the tubes and yes The D35 is weak and if you have 4.10s and stock tires it would have alot of torqu. I run 35 BFGs and 4.10s and it runs about the smae as it did with 3.55d and 31s just for reference... Cole
  24. So the YJ harness will not work for it??? That is important info for me. I will have to start a hunt to. Cole
  25. So whats the progress?????? I am excited about your project since i can learn so much before i do the same. Cole
