having trouble lining pilot up with the hole

Od of pilot is 1.001” and the Id of the crank isn’t too far back to get the calipers in. I have attempted to take the output casing off the 92 case but about 1/2” out it I think ran into the hearing dirty one is 87

I have been working on my aw4 to ax15 swap the last week got the auto out yesterday. Having a couple issues. (ax15 and tcase out of 92 cherokee) 1. The pilot bearing doesnt want to go in I have tried freezing it and heating up the crank but I don't want to smack it too hard. 2. the tcase output shaft on my truck has this big chunky electrical connecter that is not on the 92 tcase. Is this ok to just leave out or should I swap output shafts or input shafts so they line up?

got the auto pulled today. decided not to drop the exhaust or pull the tcase separately and I regret that definetely the worse of the 3 trans pulls I have done

Thanks guys I got the ingition swapped succsefully after 5 attempts of putting it back together and It is installed!

I’m swapping steering columns with one from a 92 cherokee but I’m also swapping ignitions so I have the same keys but I for the life of me can not figure out what screw is holding it in. I have reached this point

This was actually the last thing I though about last night. I also though about leaving the shafts in the sun

would not be suprised if radio is the culprit my dad says He has seen it on inside the truck a couple times.

So I have tried to start my truck the last couple times since I have gotten it running and the battery has been dead dead. like I left my lights on for 5 hours dead. But I have put te battery on the charger and it has fired right up like a dream. I did recently install an h3 upgraded harness which might be the issue? anywhere I should start?

got the trans and tcase with accommodating mounts pulled out of the xj last weekend and finally got around to cleaning them. and it came with an OEM tcase skid!! still havent gotten the front shaft off the case
