  1. Back onto the original post here, yes 6x9's will fit into the rear holes. You can either cut a lil bit out of the original hole, or if I can remember the name of the company that makes speaker adapters just for this kind of thing, there's that option as well.
  2. Oh, well, I tried anyways. ;)
  3. Well, let's hear some stories about carnage done on yourself while working on your MJ. Mine just happened today as I was bolting one of my flares up. The ratchet slipped off the nut and I sliced my right thumb to hell. I have about a half inch long by half inch wide cut at about a 10 to 15 degree angle that goes almost to the bone. I probably should've gone for stitches, but of course I didn't. On a positive note, I'm almost done with the 86's new paint job. On a negative note, I won't be able to finish it for a few days now, so pics have been delayed until I finish.
  4. I got a better proposition for ya Joel. I pay off the motor and tranny and I put it in MY MJ until you pay me back. :brows:
  5. Dang, you're almost as quick as me. I now had to edit my post as well. Since I already have 3 "surprises" from ya. Now I can't think of anything to post about. :dunce:
  6. All I can say is  . Nice job so far Alex. Temporary hijack. I should be having pics of how the old 86 is looking now on Tuesday or Wednesday. We now return you to the regularly scheduled thread.
  7. If I had the money on hand, and a place to put it, I'd be all over it.
  8. While we're talking about birthdays, what's everybody going to buy me for mine the Saturday after next??? :D Come on Joel, IIRC mine is a day before your's. ;)
  9. In this whole thread, I'm actually almost amazed that no one mentioned possum. He has a 350 in his MJ. And I know there's at least one more guy that has a 350 in his as well. There's also a guy on here that has a ford 302 in his.
  10. Bob, that just sucks that you're not able to make it. Doc, you should come down and wheel with us, I want to see your rig. Just keep watching my ticker as the days whittle down to some good wheeling and hopefully no carnage.
  11. Ya just had to go and mention your birthday didn't ya? I was gonna wait till midnight and post a happy birthday thread for ya. There goes that idea now.
  12. I had the same problem with my 88. A friend of mine who does wiring as a side hobby ran a wire from under the hood into the cab to the back of the controls. If only I knew exactly what he did, I might be able to help ya out on it.

    7/7/07

What's really funny is that the day after your bday is my mom's wedding AND divorce anniversaries (7/29/89 to 7/29/97).
  14. SHOWOFF!! and, sounds good to me.

How about 7/27? That happens to be my birthday, so I too have a bunch of 7's.
  16. He said he'd look into it, but no one heard anything back on it. He must have either gotten busy with other things, just forgot about it or decided against it altogether.
  17. You already know my ideas on this one. ;) Add some tubing off the "frame" of it to the wheel wells, and make it a functional rollbar.
  18. Yea, that's why a while ago I had suggested having a feedback section. That way the seller would know if everything arrived and then other people could see if they were an honest and fair seller.
  19. Haha, sweetness. Just think of all the Jeeps that are gonna be there between us and the Great Lakes XJ's.
  20. If they weren't in "acceptable" condition, I would've never started this thread to thank you for them. :brows:
  21. Thanks man, just got the COMANCHE emblems today. Nice touch with the extras too. I got a kick outta them. Thanks again.
  22. Thanks, and yea it is.
  23. Hey now. I happen to like my dark blue interior in my '88. Thank you very much.
  24. Alex, welcome back man. Long time no see or talk. And before you ask, yes the 86 is doing well. ;)
