I might add, you'll have to email or message him thru Facebook. That's all he does. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

https://www.facebook.com/jeepjunkie/ He had 5 Comanches on his lot last week and at least a dozen XJs. All have been picked over, but he has a habit of finding these things. Plus he strips them and stores the good stuff til he sells it. He ships world wide. Even has a pile of Wrangler parts waiting for a Marine to return from deployment to pick up. All he does is Jeep, in every form. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Aftermarket tailight interest?
tugboat95 replied to m2bandit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It would nice to have an option. I like the off-road idea. Shouldn't effect the values of the originals since it looks like I may be funding my retirement with them. [emoji41] I'm up to 3 pairs now. Just waiting the break the originals on the truck. Joke aside it would be nice to have new lights. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original -
Emission maintenance light

I can live with that. Maybe I'll change them ...one of these days. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original -
So this popped up today while driving to work this morning. Went off by the time I got there but lit up and stayed for the drive home. I haven't lifted the hood yet, truck drives fine. 112k miles on original engine and exhaust is all original. Redid head gasket and new Bosch injectors 6 months ago. What's the most common causes off this light? Vacuum line somewhere, O2 sensor, clogged catalytic converter? Who do I need to look at? 89 Renix 6 cylinder with 5 speedanual. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Lol, not really tugboat, but I have 2 sets of pilings I used to have by my driveway I'll put out there with a some old wooden block and tackle and a couple of small keg anchors. I do have a set of navigation lights that may find their way on the pilings. I have to convert them to 110v. I do have three 1000w floodlights that came off my current ride when we converted to LEDs. I will be putting them on the building to light up the yard. Neighbors are gonna Love that. The other planned adornment will be a flagpole with a yard arm. To display Ole Glory, the Merchant Marine flag as well as a Maltese Cross flag as I'm also a volunteer firefighter. But that one may find its way to my front yard where more people can see it. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Getting real. 2 days to prep ground, build the forms and pour concrete and then work it. I'm second guessing the way I did the ramp but it's too late now. 3500 lbs psi mix, wire mesh embedded with 12 inch footers all the way around. 14 cubic yards of concrete. Finished product has relief cuts as well. Now it cures for 28 days. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

I just got a new radiator for an open system from Amazon. Spectre model for about 100 bucks. I replaced all hoses and the water pump from Rock Auto. Pulled the bottle and that valve and just routed hoses into the heater with hose adapters. A new electric aux fan operated by a switch by me. Honestly the best thing was that new radiator. No matter who made it. Old one was full of 32 years of crud. And I flushed the engine 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

I've been working in California for the last year or so. Still live in NC. I'm just blown away at all the draconian rules, taxes and fees you have to pay there. My job takes me all over the country. Seattle and NYC come close but nothing tops California. Company I work for can't even send certain pieces of equipment there that's used throughout the rest of the country. Just flat out banned. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Grabber Blue Eliminator

Gotta agree with the above poster. I'm generally not a fan of the bedliner on the MJs. However yours looks great! Love the color combination. It works. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original -
They are hard to find and can be expensive. I'd try to find some way to make it fit. A cutting wheel, tape measure and some welding. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

I'd love to go but the stars just aren't aligning for me. Spent way to much money in Moab and Vegas Last month and got a trip to South Dakota planned for September that we haven't paid for yet. So the wife said no. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

NC just passed a law saying UTV's, mini trucks, and modified Utility trucks (not 4 wheelers)can now be driven on roads as of October 1, 2021. Depending on have certain equipment. Lights, brakes, etc. As of now, I can't register one of my Comanches. Bought it for parts but I'm entertaining making it a trail rig. Has anybody registered theirs as a UTV? Law even states if no VIN then the DMV must assign one. My VIN has been registered as Junk and can not be titled or driven on the road. That Vin can "disappear" Have I found a loophole that will allow me to drive it in some situations? (Nothing over 55mph and can be limited to 35mph.) It meets the engine size and wheelbase requirements. With all these heavily modified trail rigs out there, has anybody been able to do this? I know it's a stretch but what have i got to lose? 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

You are way over thinking this. Builder doesn't require any permits and they don't do them as they service 3 states. Every county is different. Think large carport...I'm not living in it. Nothing for him to approve or disapprove. He was inspecting location. He will inspect electric when I do that next year. But that's just the 200 amp pole install (security light). He'll never know about the 200 amp box inside cause I'll never tell them about next year. Concrete will be 5 inches for a 6 foot section the full width. Rest will be 4 inch slab with 6 inch footers for wind code. It is reinforced, 3500 psi with metal grid not rebar. Lift manufacturer specifically discourages rebar. I got their recommendations for a 10000lbs lift. There will be no running water or toilet. There will be a gravity fed off the roof rain barrel piped to a a laundry to wash my hands occasionally. 9 don't care about "the next guy" I'll be dead and I didn't build it for him. Yes he has built dozens of these. It's pre-engineered by them, a crew puts it together in about 18 hours. It's a metal building built and certified to withstand 140mph wind code of my area. He does not buy or distribute another companies building. They build it in their facility about an hour from where I live. I do have blue prints that has a certification stamped with a raised seal that I had to submit to the county for the permit. I had a plot plan drawn ad well for the permits to ensure no set backs or right of ways were infringed. Biggest thing county inspector looked at was septic tank location. I do not flood. I'm 62 feet above sea level. Flood insurance is not required. I grew up flooding 3 to 4 times a year. I will never live in a flood zone again. My issue is heavy rain like 17 inches in 2 days will cause ponding just in front of that location. 6 hours after it quits raining, it's gone. It's happened 4 times in the last 20 years. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Oh it was. Kid earned his money. Raised the footprint about a foot. I doubt it floods as the front is in a low spot that tends to collect water during hurricanes and other intense rain events. Started with a wheelbarrow. When I wouldn't roll we fill my pick up bed and moved it. Then we finished off old school. 5 gallon buckets. Lots of 5 gallon buckets. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Reckon I got enough dirt. Ended up hiring a small 8 ton dump truck and a local 14 year old looking for some spending money. Hopefully I'll get the concrete put down in 3 to 4 weeks. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Pretty rough homecoming. But you're home. And you got a place to work on it now....next weekend. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Lol...yeah, I just don't know. I'd love the trail rig idea but I don't have anywhere within 6 hours of me to ride it. And I don't own a trailer. There are a ton of good parts on this truck. And it's completely fixable. No rust in the floorboards. Small amount in cab corners. Engine turns over but I don't know the fuel system status. Ain't nothing that can't be fixed or put on a third truck my wife would kill me if I buy. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Its a long bed. Thought I had bought a short bed with the dana 44. I just measured the bed. Its just over 7 foot long. Thing full of surprises. I just hooked up a battery and all the lights and stuff came on. Wouldn't turn over though.

Definitely different than what's on my Eliminator. I thought metric tons were only on long beds. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Your right About the tranny. I had totally misread that date. My other one was built on 3-6-89 and is literally one of the last ones. I'll try to get a pic of the leads this weekend. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it had the Asin tranny and not the Peugot. It has a decal on it saying Heavy duty 2250. Does it have the metric ton? It does have the dana 44 axle. Truck has been in a field somewhere since 2002. At least that's the last state inspection sticker. Body is extremely straight and the bed is awesome. I think the camper shell is the Comanche specific. It's a perfect fit. Too bad the junkyard had already listed it as scrap and it can't be retitled. Windshield is junk but rest of glass is good. I think it is a good candidate to turn into a trail rig. 89 Comanche Eliminator 2wd 4.0L 5 speed PukeGoat Factory Original
