Man that's a nice looking truck. What kind of sliders does it have on it? Are they welded to the frame or bolted? Great find!!
-
Gotcha. Thanks!!!

Late 80's model? That looks good.

Occasionally they pop up on NAXJA when someone upgrades the D30. Good luck.

That looks nice. I like the height on it. Is that console from an early 90's XJ? I can't tell in the pic, but does it fit the floor contour well? Also, what tire size will you end up running? If I missed it in the posts, sorry. -

That is a good price for getting it lifted. It looks good. Keep up the good work. -

That is a nice looking truck. How does it ride with the AAL? Rougher? Have you loaded the bed to "work" the leaves yet? I need some lift just not sure how I want to do it. Thanks. -
When you swapped header panels did you swap fenders too? If not, do they match up ok? Nice truck!!!

This is an awsome build. I read through it all but I may have missed this. What radiator and fans are you using? Also, why did you not go SOA? Too much lift? Just curious on that. I noticed on the 8.25 you made provisions for doing it with the spring perches. Nice work. It makes me want to get back on mine. :D -

That's a nice MJ. I like the stance of it. It looks good. If it were in my area I would say a good set of M/T's but where you are, you may be good. -
Are you gonna put carpet back in it? I have to fix my floor as well but I'm undecided on wether or not to put carpet back in.

I haven't had any time to work on it since it's not currently at my house, but I am going tomorrow and picking up some parts from Shelbyluv and also an AX-15 from a guy on NAXJA. I plan on swapping out the BA-10. I'm getting a good header panel for it so that piece will be behind me too. I got a gasket kit for my motor thats going in and some new freeze plugs. I hope to be able to get the gaskets in and the freeze plugs in this weekend. I doubt I get the old motor out but that's ok. I want to get the new motor ready and mated up to the AX-15 and then put both in together. I've never done a swap like this before so I will be in new territory. 8) Any suggestions on things to watch for or things NOT to do? Thanks guys.

Working on them is half the fun, well for some it's all the fun. Let the fun begin!

Holy Rustoleum Batman. I'm glad I live in the South. Although my MJ is missing a floor. I look forward to the progress pics.

That's called going "ALL" out. Can't wait to see that thing on the trail. -
Wow. That's a nice find. I'm with you on leaving it stock, that mileage is awsome!!
-
Yep, that was a good paycheck!! :D Question for you, on the floors, did you sand down all the rusted areas and primer or paint them before you put the panels in? If not they will continue to rust. I jusy hate to see alot of work go into a project and it not end up like you want. Keep the pics coming.

Anybody have any plans for anything? My MJ is not even running yet but I wouldn't mind meeting some new folks and checking out some MJ's. I need ideas. :D What do ya say?

I wondered about it but just wanted to throw it out there. No harm done.

Up front I'm running Rubicon Express extended SS lines.http://www.rubiconexpress.com/JeepParts/Product.aspx?folder=JPBL&part=RE1553 The drawback to SS is, if you ever needed to "crimp" a line to get off the trail it's hard to do. The rubber lines are more forgiving that way. A pair of vise grips and you have brakes. If I had to do again, I would run longer rubber lines. Rough Country also has a set. http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xtras_ss-brakelines.html I don't know the part numbers for longer rubber lines. I know some year models of Dodge 1/2 ton trucks use some long lines.

The Detroits are nice, no doubt. I run Aussies both front and rear in my XJ. I have broken rear D44 Yukon alloys, both sides at different times, running 35's and the locker is pristine. They broke where the splines engage the locker. I have also broken D30 Alloy USA shafts where the splines engage the locker without any damage to the Aussie. Granted, the rear clicks something awful and I do get some weird looks  when pulling into parking lots, but they have proven themselves to me. For the money, they would get my vote.

Ok. So the last night I got a better fender on it and did some prep work for pulling the motor which is my next step. It lined up very well so I guess my body work to the front where it was bent turned out ok. I know, I need to to take more and better pictures...
