  1. That looks really good! How high do the bows rise above the rails?
  2. Thanks for keeping with this.
  3. Wow... That is all.
  4. I finally got around to installing my new battery cables and leads from Jeep Cables. They are quality and each cable is marked as to where it should go. Really easy to install. I now have the missing ground wire from the head to firewall. The kit came with a 150amp and a 200amp fuse. I used the 150 because I didn’t think I needed the 200 since I’m not running a winch or a ton of extra lighting. Anyway, not as much done today but a great day nonetheless. Here’s to working on Jeeps and enjoying the weather. [emoji482] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Couldn't have done it without you! You gotta love a day spent with good friends working on Jeeps.
  6. Good color choice!
  7. Are the JK coils stiffer than the stock coils?
  8. Had a good day. Got the rebuilt steering box, new power steering pump and new hoses installed today. Also installed a 2.5 overflow bottle that I scored from the JY. It was beautiful today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. VIP right there. Or just a Valued Customer???

  14. Hmmm. Are they factory to the MJ or come from a 2 door XJ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. The Rebels are gonna have to move now, everybody’s gonna know where they are. Good work!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Drove it to work again today. Man it just feels good to drive it. I rechecked the alternator when I got to work and it it’s still charging so rock on!!! I’m just glad to drive it. I love this little truck!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I need to take a picture of the front of the factory radio that was in it. All the factory dash wires had been cut and spliced into that unit. I had to cut the wires to get that unit out. I would say the radio in it wasn’t the one that came in the truck because it had a mark on it like it came from a JY. The truck has aftermarket speakers and I bet it had an aftermarket radio but it was taken out at some point. The actual plug that went into the radio had wires taken out of it according to the wire diagram on the radio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. There’s some good news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It worked before I made the changes in the truck but hey, when something goes bad, it just goes bad. Are they replaceable if they do go bad?
  21. The gauge dances a little but it’s all in the red area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I didn’t use the blue/white wire at all. My new radio used the orange/brown wire for the display lights to dim when the headlights come on. At least that’s how I wired it. I’m gonna go back over all my grounds and add the one but I just can’t figure out why all of a sudden the gauge went wonky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Agreed. You would think they would have been standard on every truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have cleaned and refreshed all but the one from the rear block to the firewall, in fact there is no ground there. I need to add it. There was an orange/brown wire that I used for the display lights. When the headlights come on the display dims. I wonder if I have something backwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Ok. I went and got a meter and did a test. I just put the leads to the battery cables with the engine running. I think I have it set right as far as getting the reading I needed?? If it is set right, then I AM charging the battery and the alternator is doing what it should. Checked the gauge.... Still nothing. The gauge was working before so I tried to remember everything I did before the gauge went south. I added courtesy lights with LED bulbs. Simple plug and play. Then I added a cigarette lighter with the light but I don’t have a bulb for it yet. Again, simple plug and play. The factory wires and plugs were already in place. I also added the cargo light switch in the dash and it is plugged up too but I haven’t installed the light itself out back. Plug and play again. I installed a new radio..... On the factory radio the wire that fed the “ignition” hot was somehow tied or crossed with the headlight switch. When you turned the headlights off and the radio was on, the radio would go off and then come back on. This wire was the trouble wire. I did NOT reuse this wire as my ignition hot wire. I ran a new wire from the fuse block to the radio. I have had no issues since then with the headlight switch controlling the radio power. I also installed an under the hood light using the demon wire to make it hot but is plug and play as well. Of these things I’ve done, I can’t think of any cause for them to be tied to the gauge doing what it’s doing unless it’s something to do with the radio???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
