  1. Crossed over 114k miles earlier this week. I’ve put just over 1500 miles on this thing daily driving it since September.
  2. No, my truck was a white truck originally. I painted the engine bay black because I didn’t want the body color clashing with the AMC blue engine.
  3. Looks like this color: Whats odd is that is an HO era color. I think it’s Brilliant Blue Metallic, which is the same color as my truck. It’s a Chrysler color from 94-97.
  4. Interesting. One of the other Eagle guys just told me the same thing. Must just be the taps that my dad has that let me get away with it.
  5. I just confirmed with a couple other Eagle guys I know and the bolt pattern did change. Interesting that you needed to drill holes, the ones in my engine were drilled, but not yet tapped.
  6. Must be that and the 87-88 Eagle. I know those had the aluminum cover too.
  7. So it needs to be for an 81-87 engine?
  8. Just to clarify, this is the 81+ valve cover that he needs. 1980 and earlier had a stamped steel one, but that does not fit the 81-90 cylinder heads.
  9. Happy to help! Those other Jeeps look like pretty fun projects. If you want to start a build thread, we have a spot on the site for you MJ and your other Jeeps. What are the plans with the MJ? Pretty stock restoration or a custom build like the other two?
  10. Those are neat! Super cool that both of those cars are still in the family. I was just wondering that too.
  11. Looks like your Jeep is spring over axle in the rear, like an XJ is. Comanches are supposed to have the spring under the axle.
  12. Probably pretty darn rare, but not terribly expensive. The bigger expense is probably getting one shipped to you.
  13. The cab is getting reunited with the frame for final body work and then paint.
  14. Spare tire winch arrived today. Looks to be in excellent condition--better than described and shipping was very quick and reasonable.
  15. If that thing is rust free, I would say that is a fair price for that thing. Sure, it needs an engine, but those are fairly plentiful and relatively easy to swap.
  16. Just picked these three up. Mentions the Comanche a couple of times, but they are not MJ specific.
  17. I would suspect AuVeCo probably makes them too, but I do not have a part number for them.
  18. I’m looking forward to this build. Seems like a good combination between a trail rig and a daily drivable truck.
  19. Heck yeah! Looking forward to it
  20. But it would be a good break from the cold!
  21. Hopefully she’s feeling better soon!
  22. Congrats! Looks like a good one.
  23. Holy cow, that must’ve been quite the hit in the 87. I love seeing the HO get Renix swapped.
