1992 Jeep Comanche "Maria"
The86manche replied to MariaManche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
When I removed mine I did almost exactly what you did but I also applied a little heat on the top side. I used two nuts and was able to remove all of mine -
Most of the parts you need can be found out of a 84-96 cherokee. I think even cherokee seat belts can be made to work
-
My best friend who was with me is going back tomorrow to grab me that wheel haha no idea what I'll do with it but it's a cool piece to have! Sad the horn button is gone.
-
Yeah I can do that. Do you need a good one or a reference?
-
They got an 85 and an 88 cherokee in the yard, 88 was fairly picked clean but the 85 was almost untouched. Damn sad because both were very clean! Both had factory mud flaps! I grabbed both sets of the fronts! The 85 had a black spoke steering wheel!! I hate that I didn't have a way to remove it! I'll be back for it! Mint door cards and their respective arm rests, 3/4 cluster. And a few other odds and ends. An side mirror cap that's color matched without the hole. Tweeters and under dash lights.

88 cherokee Laredo. Loaded to the gills with options and chrome. Interior was pretty gutted. No seats, column, cluster. Someone knew what they were pulling. I got the front door cards that they decided to leave behind. And a few small odds and ends. Under dash lights and tweeters!

85 cherokee found at sams pull apart in wercester mass. Interesting options in this. 2.8 with ac, auto, 4x4 Porno red interior. Driver mirror was fixed, not even manual, passenger was manual. The UBER RARE black spoke steering wheel. And I'm kicking myself because I didn't have a puller to take it with me Managed to grab some good things though. And I plan to go back for that wheel.

Project clean machine?

Progress progress progress! Tackled the drivers floor braces. Not nearly as fun because I couldn't tell where some of the spot welds were and the brace turned out to be too thin and folded on me. Getting the brace off revealed some.. less than desirable results. I wish the driver side was as nice as the passenger side. The floor is toast a ways up. cleaning out the rail was fun too. Full of black beauty and rust flakes. And although not terrible, still not great to find a small portion of the unibody slightly compromised. Easy fix and small spot but not one I wanted to do.- 99 replies

Project Candace is underway again! Made some progress tonight! Passenger side floor braces were removed for floor patch. For an 86 the passenger floor is considerably clean! The braces are even reusable. The main brace does have pitting but it's not compromised. drilling out the spot welds sure took some time though and my back doesn't thank me for it. Haha- 99 replies

It was just shadows. It was the brushed metal look with the wheel wrap over it

They are finally on the market! Ordered both sides monday and got here today(thursday) Great fit! $90 a side. So i spent about $210 with tax and shipping for both. excited to get these fabbed in! Only thing I noticed is the back side of the cab has a stamped section and the cab corners do not have that stamped section. I'm going to cut around the stamped area and preserve it
-
Still looking for this section

Forgot to menion they also have a right hand drive xj as well!
-
They can be. And I found the guy who grabbed them and unfortunately he didn't have them anymore

I'm on my way down to Florida to visit family for a week vacation and on my way down I found a yard in south carolina that had a waggy xj so I detoured a half hour out of my way to go pick it up. About $150 out the door. It's a little rough but workable. Sad someone got the side markers though! But I got everything else! A loooot of good parts on the jeep. It's located at auto salvage Co in south carolina if anyone wants to grab anything. It's not really a you pick it yard. They will bring you to the yard and you tell them what you want and they pull it in front of you.

I can imagine it should be inch lbs. You will destroy something at ft lbs -
From cab to a few inches beyond the shock mount
-
Anyone be able to get me this section for a long bed? I don't care about the bed mounts but this section is Swiss cheese.
