Worked on getting more cut the f out. Got the rear quarter done for the high clearance wings. Passenger side is done Then test fit the new panels Then started working on driver side. Since i kind of knew what to do didnt take forever. Both side are cut next will be tacking everything in place soon. After that moved to the gas tank tuck. Cut out the spare. Wild how much space is in yhe rear when stuff if out of the way. The started working on the rust in the rear passenger wheel well. Eneded up being worse than I thought. While I was already planning to trim the fender this will be more work than just that because of the two separate pieces of metal joining. Probably got about 80% of things cut out, but still got more chopping.

More fn cutting. Started on the rear, Got pieces for the rear bumper chopped off. The started work on the quarter panels. Will be clearancing them for the rear bumper wings and to get rid of the massive chunk of sheet metal that gets exposed with after market bumpers. Instructions absolutely suck from trailforged. Spend more time looking at the phone and drawing lines then anything.

SO. MUCH. CUTTING....... Got the rockers out, almost wish they had been rusted out. After I got the pinch seam shenanigans done, had a foam party. All clean, minus some surface rust. Drivers side wasn't bad, passenger was a little crusty but nothing a little choppy choppy doesnt fix. Also did a cut and fold on the lower jam, will stich the sliders in, and the piece for the pinch seam. After I cleaned up some surface rust and sprayed self etching primer. Passenger side Then started to cut the front out for the bumper and winch. Still gotta cut a lot more but progress.

I agree and glad you enjoyed, its a great album. Feel a lot of the midwest stuff got drowned out by the rise of coastal bands in the 90s but to me Midwest stuff, especially chicago bands are better. Horace pinkers still around, just released a new album a few months ago and still playing shows.

Just picked up a OG pressing of Horace Pinker, pop culture failure, punk band from Chicago. Lots of what love is from the Midwest punk scene. Tons of great bands.

I got a replacement hydroboost and took it apart to rebuild it. This one was in really good shape. Probably didnt need a lot but swapped out a few gaskets and cleaned it up. Pic of the bad accumulator and good one. All bolted up with new gaskets ready to go.

Great work! Love what you did with it. -
Got the gas tank dropped Rusted the f out. So much room for activities Next I started on the rockers. I'm using the IRO rocker kit, I got it on promo for a killer deal. So rather than doing 2x6 steel got this. Surprisingly rockers are in great shape but choppy choppy. Still got a ways to go to get them off. Will look like this when its done

That's were the bluetooth is king. I got a wonderboom and its so nice rocking out and cussing up a storm at a stuck bolt. I'm pretty selective with what I have been picking up. Mainly new bands that I find or stuff you need physical media to listen because its not streaming or the remastered version sucks. Other thing I've done is gotten onto bandcamp. Really trying to leave spotify and other shaddy digital platforms. Bandcamp pays artist decently and while I know a lot of the older or bigger names won't be there for small niche bands and music from around the world can't beat it for trying to support music.

Thanks, making progress! I didnt really want the beadlock but I got them for a steal. Remind me of the Mojave wheels just with a little offset. New wheels are dirty life roadkill eadlocks. Still need to get those mounted.

Looking good! When I got my truck from Troy he had some cut ZJ springs on it. For a rear sway bar why wouldnt the ZJ one work? Sucks on ruffstuff, I got the stuff I needed from Barnes a few days after canceling the ruffstuff order. -
After that started on cutting the fenders. Marked out a trim line trying to keep it flowing with the lines already there. Chopped but still need to clean up some stuff. Mainly around the firewall area and the headlights. Lots' more choppy choppy coming.

Took out the rest of the interior and carpet. I knew there was going to be some rust as it was visible from the under carriage. There was also some on the floor boards under the sound deader. Air chisel made short work of the old junk. Being like 10 degrees probably helped too. All old stuff out, no on to the rust. Sanded down Hit it with some self etching primer. Now on to the problem areas. Both sides rusted under the front rear seat. Driver side was worst Passenger side. Drilled out the plug welds cut and cut it out to get an idea. Both are pretty clapped out so will probably cut them fully out and re weld a new bottom piece before the patch

Finally got the roof rack I ordered last November, FedEx lost the first one, no clue how because the package is huge AF but whatever. Got one from Golitah offroad, it's fully aluminum so weighs practically nothing, tested fitted to make I had everything. I'll take it off and paint once I paint the WJ, but for now it will now double as my interior crap. After that was up I moved on to yanking out the interior. Going to put down some sound deadener and want to pull the carpet for the welding the stiffners and rock sliders.

Thank you! Always loved the technics style, timeless. I agree, back in high school I thought I was gonna by the next mixmaster mike, then I saw how much 1200s were and was like yeah maybe not. I really lucked out with my set up, found it at an estate sale, think I paid about $350 for the turntable, receiver and speakers. Love the 1500 my only gripe is lack of auto start and return but guts are pretty much the 1200. Went and cleaned up it all up, I do need to go and clean up the speakers at some point. It is wild how expensive they can get, and cartridges too. I initially got into vinyl because few bands I liked their only physical media was vinyl, then got sucked into the rare and obscure things. First turn table I picked up was the audio technica LP60, was fine but after having a actual setup I didn't realize how much I was missing. Now I just need to curtail vinyl spending, picked up some things recently that weren't cheap but have been wanting for a very long time.

Yep, got into vinyl back in the 2000's, then took a break because it was getting expensive and went big into silk screen posters, now back in vinyl again and it's more expensive YAY! Current setup is a Technics SL1500 with a VM540ML cartridge, Denon AVR 2807 receiver, Denon dvd 1600 cd player and Coral audio BX700 speakers. Got a couple hundred records between 12s and 7s and tons of CD's, all punk but some classic rock. Not sure what's a worse money pit music or jeeps. Discogs has been terrible enabler, but is nice to catalog my music and know what I have and heave gotten a lot of stuff on there, especially the hard to find things.

May some head way. Was able to mock up stiffners on both sides and get the unibody sanded cleaned up down for the welds. Still need to get a few other areas and get rid of the slight surface rust but just about done with that. I am also going to chop out the rockers and run the IRO rocker kit. Plan to get those cut out and maybe make burning in the stiffeners a little easier. Once I get the stiffeners in will go hover craft mode. Didn't take any pictures of getting the gas tank out but its just about out. Right in time too, as it is rusted to F. Didn't realize how bad it was but there's a sizeable portion just gone. I will be doing a tank tuck so that will help with some clearance stuff in the rear. Then I realized for the Atlas I didn't have mounting studs. Since the previous configuration was for a XJ it had a spacer on it with the studs bolted to that. So once those are here will get the Atlas in place. Just going to keep stripping off parts next week. Need to start getting the interior pulled as well. I will be keeping it but I need to clean it up, then laying down some sound deadner, plus not wanting to start a fire inside the cab.
