  1. When I did a 4.0 HO swap in my 88 YJ i used a 95 XJ harness. The bulkehead connector splits into two sections. Look up “5 wires to fire” in YJ threads and you’ll see plenty of swaps using XJ harnesses. As has been mentioned, try to keep your engine harness as “stand-alone” as possible.
  2. I would pull all the lights that run off that switch and carefully examine the sockets and perhaps the bulbs themselves. Sounds like a short
  3. Found this nice topper for sale on craigslist. Never seen one quite like it. I like the sliding windows https://springfield.craigslist.org/pts/d/winona-jeep-comanche-camper-shell/6998096878.html
  4. Tons of companies will rebuild them as well. I went witH a PSC rebuild and it has been awesome
  5. I have never seen the code ALR or LBE. Do you know what those are exactly?
  6. Thanks for the info! I will start a build thread on here in the next few weeks.
  7. Any way to know if it is an eliminator package?
  8. 1991 Jeep Comanche Eliminator Dana 30 non disco front Dana 35 rear 4x4 Short Bed 4.0 AW4 Factory Fog Lights Bucket Seats Sliding rear glass I have owned it for 4 years. Bought it in St Louis MO but it is currently located on the island of Guam.
  9. I got new oem hinges and check stops from team Cherokee and installed them along with some hinge reinforcements from hoolihans off-road. Problem solved, no more popping. My popping was coming from the door dropping when opened. Had to reinforce my striker too with a large fender washer. It turned out very good though.
  10. We have a freight forwarder we use in California that ships here cheap. Also, we are domestic for usps, so it’s actually not to bad. Anyone have a set?
  11. Jcr used a fuel cell and put the filler in the bed. It’s somewhere on their YouTube walk around video
  12. What about using an XJ revolver shackle? They have fame stops which should work. Used to use them on my YJ and they work well. If I got stock pitman arm, won’t the steering angle for the draglink and TRE be to severe? That’s why I was thinking the Currie kit
  13. Here is an example of how it used to sit while I had it stateside. Also have the front end pic for reference. The truck is on a boat on its way here now so I can’t get any pics yet. Back end is about 3” higher than pic

    Leaf springs

Looking for a set of stock used 4 leaf springs. Let me know what you have
  15. Hello all from Guam! I need your input to correct my suspension problems. I’m running 5.5” rubicon express coils up front and soa rear. Front suspension is working fine but I have a bit of pump steer which I’m sure is due to the drop pitman arm the previous owner installed. I run a JKS HD track at in the stock mount so I’m thinking of going with a stock pitman arm and the Currie steering kit. For the rear, the passenger spring eye brok so I replaced the original spring with a pair from general spring but now it sits way to high. What would you suggest to get it back down to normal ride height? It was fairly level with the 5.5 fro t coils and stock spring soa rear. Should I look for a set of used springs?
  16. Whatever you do, just make sure to cut away the old rusted sections and seal up any overlaps between the old and new pans. Personally, i cut out my old pans and rebuilt/beefed-up the floor support area. I then created a small metal "skeleton" and laid several layers of fiberglass. I know fiberglass is not the preferred method but I work a lot on marine applications and know how to build up the layers and get it to stick right. Been 4 years now with zero issues. Once the repair was complete I used bullet liner (bedliner) to completely seal the area and keep it dry. It won't last forever but should be in there a good while.
  17. That's an awesome deal if the tranny is in good shape. Is the bellhousing included? If you can get the bellhousing that would be great. Haven't done the nv3550 swap but from what I understand it is a direct swap with an ax-15. https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transmissions/manual/nv3550/
  18. Hello all, I just had to replace my rear springs on my 91 MJ because one of the main leafs had broken at the eye. My MJ is SOA with 5.5” front springs. I got the new springs from general spring in Kansas City and they are direct 4 leaf replacements. Problem is the new leaves are really tall. It’s peobaby 4” higher than it was which puts it close to 9”. On the flip side, it looks like I could easily fit 37’s lol. Any suggestions on speeding up the spring settling process or lowering it somehow. I need to shed at least 2-3” so the rake is not so extreme.
  19. Yeah I knew this would be quite a thread resurrection. There are several references to getting a label for an HO 4.0 but no one ever posted one that I can see. Can anyone out there post a clear picture of their emissions label from a 91 with a 4.0? I’m in Guam and my MJ is shipping from stateside butbthe shipping company needs a picture of the epa label
  20. Need an emissions label for a 91 4.0
  21. I just created the file based off of the original Comanche emblem for anyone to create. Just have it printed locally
  22. Our local ups store in Texas had one
  23. These emblems have been out of production for quite some time now. With the attached file you can send it straight to your local vinyl printer and have your own set of decal/emblems. Hopefully some can make good use of these files.
