  1. I'll wait a little longer before it, I might find some you never know. I don't even have the black interior in my truck yet.
  2. Once the cables are replaced, if that somehow still doesn't fix it the only things I could think of after that is the solenoid on the starter and the starter itself.
  3. I'll probably get that kit I just linked, and just get the cheapest new compressor I can find. Also that write up is very useful thank you
  4. I may just hope my compressor is good, and buy this with a new evap core ofc. https://jeepair.com/products/copy-of-1987-1990-wrangler-r134a-conversion-kit?variant=41322890789061
  5. I wouldn't know, if you see it lmk please
  6. I'll either get that or kilmat. here's a bulk purchase, which makes me think of another question. The new components I'm buying, should I be buying a r134a evapcore, compressor, receiver drier... or do I buy them brand new as r12 then do the Oring thing like I was planning on already? https://www.ebay.com/itm/184593343706?fits=Year%3A1989|Model%3ACherokee|Make%3AJeep&hash=item2afa9ee4da:g:jcEAAOSwZq9f46Qr&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8HyPxCRx22s4nqoVOu0mMcZL%2BQB0RlX86jNHopPczZ7%2BiuqcVBgURA2yu%2Frp62BvBb9TCQmoOsoB1G8UncIZk400TxpMxZ9N5mPiOAXOCLN0F6Asl%2BnTGkvu%2Fs3TAfvCNDNQ7pzBe14xIWqTlgjPiV%2Fe4Z7xu0Bg1wd7sSS43D1HZes0q3QkzpvX2yM4BSM1nZ2iGABvIZnlTmt8yt0xPHKjQKVoD2icbnQIthHoZL6ZSCRRqvw0ea8plDDsyMgL8xMbGLrEgbT%2FAwR2FzzZdPlxaajnhlsEQAsxfshdMvYFicxt9M5rT37BHNVy0ZcsDA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABFBMiJPujbxh
  7. Yea. I'm assuming thats one of those kits that also adds a ground from the battery to the fender. Those are always nice to add.
  8. After all this a/c I still need a heater core, sound deadening, and I'm looking at just getting an Azzy's Linkage now instead of later. On that note, are there any cheaper alternatives like the Azzy's Linkage that perform adequately? I'd rather not drop $90, even though I'm sure they are worth it for the build quality.
  9. I still make money from odd jobs and such, I'm not on a fixed income of any kind so I'm trying to save wherever I safely can
  10. My dad brought up a good point about how I have no idea my compressor works, and way back when when we tried charging it and it randomly all escaped from somewhere we never did locate it. So it might not be a bad idea to just get a new compressor. With that being said, is getting a used one from ebay a dumb idea? https://www.ebay.com/itm/155241363784?fits=Year%3A1989|Model%3ACherokee|Make%3AJeep&hash=item24251b3948:g:iBQAAOSw~KNjZplS&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsDCdzPjb%2FZOY0%2FWlU0f5ZFzRPVoWkoqx2Wdogct86EEu%2B5cf0%2BWDGrkNlM0Ic16FgU7wU%2BHp9qVD4Bhhn7lO1xkhNKl7WIx8jiIJD40d1%2FQdVVQZjHul9cNfr5qgebexbaWOM6d0o5n7VKEybSBvDXmPWGy5ll3WIcW7vcg3kW%2BK9WJZTwny14F9q9vpANxukIgWqxHRCCJ167370RRfNG8Mn%2Bjyy1JnbsTNJrDB4kUz|tkp%3ABk9SR4qT7o28YQ
  11. The whole cables or just the clamps on the battery?
  12. Oh ok sweet. I recently found a guy with a manual 2 door xj being parted out that says he should have what I need, just waiting on confirmation for that.
  13. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do that. Regardless, it's never a bad idea to grab a Comanche driveshaft, they are a different length from Cherokees. May not be a bad idea to grab the front driveshaft too if its a manual 4x4. The front driveshaft should be identical to a Cherokee's, but like with the shifter linkage, they differ in size from automatic to manual.
  14. As of right now the only thing I could think of needing is some black interior pieces, they can come from an XJ also (lower dash panel, center console arm rest, the little screw covers on the A-pillars, and the bezel that covers the lever on the side of a bucket seat to let it fold forward) The reason I mentioned the 4wd linkage is because the 4wd linkage is different between a manual and an automatic. I've been having a hard time finding manual 4x4 cherokees being parted out, so maybe you will too.
  15. This is a continuation of the a/c swap conversation we had on the dash removal thread. I just want to confirm a few more things before I start buying stuff. -The r12 system in my 89MJ is a expansion valve and receiver dryer system, rather than the orifice tube and accumulator system. By converting to r134a I'm still keeping it an expansion valve and receiver dryer system right? -I'm planning on just buying the new components from rock auto, which correct me if I'm missing anything but should just be: Evap core, Receiver/dryer(NOT accumulator), Expansion valve, generic r134a oring kit, and whatever kind of oil it is that r134a takes Then, I'm pairing the new components with my old lines, my old compressor, and my old condensor, correct? (I'm getting a new heater core too so no need to remind me)
  16. Comanche specific parts: Badges, rear fender flares, rear glass, spare tire winch, taillights and tailgate I think you said you already or were going to get, I think I see the B-pillar plastic pieces is still in on the passenger side? If so get it, get those trim belts things that run on the bottom of the fender and bedsides, parking brake mechanism, Some things you may wanna get anyways if they are in good condition: That header panel, the atenna cable with the rubber grommet where it goes into the cab, those fender liners are always nice if they aren't hardened, also I know you said the 89MJ didn't have a trans anymore, but if the 4wd shifter linkage assembley is still under the trans tunnel floor that is worth getting IMO, and thats about all I can think of rn.
  17. Oh ok, yea I'm about as far as you can get from there

  23. Oh ok I'll be sure to grab the one from my parts truck before sending to to scrap.
  24. Hm, maybe I'll just keep my fixed glass then. Honestly as long as my a/c starts working I don't care that much
