  1. ... At first, I thought that you were doing - a drumpf imitation. When I asked the NAPA guy about installing a Cali ECU in a non-Cali, his reply was, " The CEL will always stay 'ON' ''. That's not good! I've had good luck at NAPA. The 'boys and girls' at the Chains, seem to always give me - 'that look'. HUH??? Now, I find the part that I need, on-line/checking store stock - screen print(photo included), and hand it to them, and point to the Highlighted Part Number. Saves-a-lot-of-time. youngfred
  2. ... The Mopar. youngfred
  3. ... So, on the other hand, what can I expect, with highway driving from the 28mm(thicker-than-stock) sway bar that I installed, up front? youngfred
  4. ... Thanks Mr. H, When I was looking for an ECU for my 91, I could only find California ones. I asked NAPA about installing the Cali one in my non-Cali, and was told that it would work but that the 'Check Engine Light' would not go off, if I installed. He then referred me to AutoComp Technologies and sure enough, they sent one -arrived within two days. youngfred
  5. ... I just installed that exact ECU that I got from AutoComp Technologies out of Houston for my 91. Do I need to clear the residual memory of the ECU from a Remanufacturer, also ? Thanks for the details on clearing residual memory. youngfred
  6. ... Installing the Oil Pan after replacing the Rear-Main Seal. The rear outer support bracket - SUPPORT - J3243116 Does not have the rubber trim, like the photo below. It is just the metal bracket. Do I need to replace it with this one: youngfred
  7. ... Well, I got the brakes done and was gonna stop.. then thought about the rear-main seal leak. While I had the truck up on stands already??Yea. Got all of the parts, so Rear-Main Seal Replace. ~ Finally got the Interior, to - Smelling Good. youngfred
  8. ... I am pulling the Distributor in order to prime the oil pump, because the motor has not been started for a while. Since it is coming out, I am thinking of replacing the 91 Distributor because I cannot get to the Stator under the Rotor, without pulling the Distributor. Is the 94 XJ the same Distributor with the accessible Stator? Will this Distributor work with the 91 CPS? Thanks youngfred
  9. ... A Florist that works with flowers. youngfred
  10. ... That has also, not-changed. The Instructions still only list - their Part Numbers. youngfred
  11. ... Got the TeraFlex Kit installed. Made my own lines. youngfred
  12. ... Spun the SC fitting on both lines. The Fittings appeared to be original and were real crusty - and had become - part of the brake line. Trying to decide whether to flare these or replace with Auto Parts soft lines ??? Eastwood offers these: https://www.eastwood.com/3-16-stainless-steel-brakeline-armor-3ft.html youngfred
  13. ... Since I have the axles out, I am replacing the Seals/Bearings. youngfred
  14. ... Got the rear axle ready for the - Disc Brake Conversion. The Kit should arrive, later today or tomorrow. Removing the Backing Plate, on the left, the SC showed signs of a slow-leak, with fluid soaking-thru, around the BP mount, on the axle. The Seal(s) still looked tight(on bofh-sides). No signs of leaks. youngfred
  15. ... Just replaced my Booster/MC on my 91. Getting to this part, in order to remove was probably the toughest part of the whole job. When you remove the old one, the Pedal Bracket below, might shift a bit, on you and the firewall holes will not line up. It's a little bit of a pain to get the new one to go right in, if you don't have a helper. I was able to get a couple of the booster bolts to go in enough to start a nut on the threads, then worked the rest of the bolts through the firewall. youngfred
  16. ... Got the Booster/MC installed. The Booster/Brake Pedal Clip above, was a real head-scratcher. Finally, used two hands and a small screwdriver, to remove. Below, is what I used to Bench-Bleed the MC and the new lines with the Bubble-Flair Fittings. Getting plenty of practice on flaring brake lines. The TeraFlex Rear Disc Conversion Kit comes in next week. youngfred
  17. ... Sat idle, for 7 years. I have not started it, yet. I want to inspect and replace, if necessary - any friction part or maintenance part that might fail, before putting it on the road. This is how it looked when it I picked it up : youngfred
  18. ... Front-end done: Shocks Springs Bump Stops Control Arms Sway Bar Rotors Wheel Bearings Calipers Pads Only thing left to check, up-front, is the Steering Arms and Ball Joints. I will wait to see how those are, at Wheel Alignment Time. Off the Jack Stands and on the ground, Torqued-down the Control Arms. The Booster/MC arrived today. I had thought about bleeding the system before removing the old Booster/MC but the old, front Calipers were not cooperating. I just Gravity Bled the two front - by first, cleaning-out both reservoirs and adding a bit of clean fluid, then I removed the brake line to each side, and let them drip, until clean fluid ran clear. The old fluid did not look, too bad. Since I am converting the rear brakes to disc and replacing the lines, I will probably disconnect the lines to the LSV and clean out, what lines are left, before connecting them to the new rear discs, maybe. youngfred
  19. ... Well, a season has passed and I have stayed busy outside, every day. The weather has been hot and dry lately, so I have been getting a lot done. The Comanche slowed because I also rebuild and restore/play around with - Enduros from these times - 1970 Yamaha DT1C : I got the front end done on the Comanche. Here is a finishing shot: I am replacing the Booster/MC and using the 95/96 dual and then converting the rear shoes, to discs - next. youngfred
  20. ... Perfect. Don't really need 7-pin. My Grand Cherokee has the OEM 7-pin with the 4-pin plug-in adapter, which I use. I was looking for one with the mounting bracket included. Forgot about looking here - etrailer. Thanks, Jeep Driver. youngfred

  23. ... XJ/WJ Taillight availability, I would guess exceeds MJ. I have not compared the two and I don't know about 'looks' but it seems that spending the money on an Adapter or a Kit that would allow fitting XJ or WJ Taillights, would be the next best option. Or any other taillight assembly that is close, to MJ - fit and form . ~ "A-ah, good coffee..." youngfred
  24. ... Mounting the Stabilizer Bar. I am using OEM Mopar Sway Bar Link Bushings and the Prothane Bushings Kit. Should I remove the Mopar bushings on the bottom of the end links and install the Prothane or stay with the OEM's on the bottom? Does it really matter? youngfred
