also time to finish the interior installed the sun visor and some new pedal covers also changed the TRE at the pitman arm new one on top took off the 2 sided tape off the emblems but the paint on them look's like crap still wondering how to fix them before I put them on the truck and also prep the tail light for a touch of paint to take off that chrome trim -

yeah but that would take away valuable wrenching time :fool: got a few things done today took off the rear diff cover rusty a bit time to clean it then some paint also took the gear stamping and still looking to confirm the 4.11 ratio since the tag is unreadable if I'm doing this right the last 3 numbers are 37 and 9 so 37/9=4.111111111111111111111 hummmm got to love math :jump: -
give a call to Tom at Hell's creek he's also a membre here I'm sure he can hook you up with a set of leafs or maybe a full lift kit

The needle is completely pegged on empty and never moves. The gas light doesn't come on either. How would I send voltage? Can I use a test probe or something? yeah you jump the sender wire with the fuel pump wire (putting a loop wire in the plug ) then (with someone in the truck) check if the gage move or jumping the ground if it does so you have a faulty sending unit in the tank not a faulty gage and wires -

when the truck is stop does the gas gage go to empty try sending voltage trough the sender wire see if the needle moves from what your describing it seems like a bad sender not a faulty wire -
yeah but that would a dana 30 so same as your MJ one you could just do a gear swap with an instal kit unless you wanna go 4.10 with your rear end (wich is morelikely what everyone wants) then you should look for a different front end if you want a complete unit to swap in

how about a 1472 Kg yj ? and does a dolley or a flat bed (1 or 2 axle) make a difference on the weight distribution for the truck??

My 9 Year Build So Far.......
wannabeMJ replied to jpnjim's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
great build  keep going I might steal ideas from you :brows: but this year I can brag about being in a garage I would hate to be in your situation again never ever again am I building a truck outside -
I did and its not the prettiest job For starter I didn't keep the backing on the carpet it was just wet and I decided to just rip it out but when I redid the floors in the truck I installed an insulation after i painted it you have to play a little with the carpet to sit in and cut the rear end of it only when the carpet is in and instaled so you don't cut to short

my bad I'm french WIPING to wipe (third-person singular simple present wipes, present participle wiping, simple past and past participle wiped) 1.(transitive) To move an object over, maintaining contact, with the intention of removing some substance from the surface. (cf. rub) Melissa wiped her glasses with her shirt. I wiped the sweat from my brow with the back of my hand. Tom started to wipe his eyes. [quotations ▼] 1900, L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz So they passed through the Palace Gates and were led into a big room with a green carpet and lovely green furniture set with emeralds. The soldier made them all wipe their feet upon a green mat before entering this room, and when they were seated he said politely... 2.(transitive, computing) To erase. I accidentally wiped my hard drive.
