-

yep, had quite a few already, if it's Canadian sold it will have (CAN) at the end. We've still got 88 and 89 to do (majority of the registry) should get a few done tonight.

Bringing my old Comanche back to life.
jdog replied to Jeep Addict's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
The heater is a vacuum issue, check to make sure the lines are still connected under the hood and check the vacuum ball behind the front bumper. The transfer case could be that the linkage needs adjusted. That sucks about the frame. -
i'll have a open radiator out of mine soon(like in the next week) if you are interested. it works fine, just swapping so that i can have a coolant sensor. otherwise there less then a 100 $ to convert to open iirc.
-
Correct, another symptom would be a sweet smell inside and /or fogging of windows
-
Sounds like a lot of work coming up,

86 Diesel MJ to VW TDI conversion
jdog replied to johnj92131's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
The wires on the relay are fuse links for various items in the jeep. The relay itself is the starter relay. The radiator looks good. -
I second the heater control valve
-
does the high beams turn off when you pull on the lever? if so i'd look at the high beam switch

OH wow I should probably update lol, got the tank installed, and then I got called back to work. Will probably start working on this in the spring. Atm I'm building the motor that came out of this, and will be going into another ride soon.
-
any shiney bits? I would drain and refill, (yes low trans fluid could cause a overheat issue as the trans cooler is in the radiator). i would also flush the lines. its worth a shot, when draining look to see if there is any metal flakes in the fluid or chunks. as stated before just drain and fill, the dipstick tube is a huge pain.
-
when i swapped my ax in i got one for the year that the trans came out of.
