:rotf: Thats my shotgun partner !! A.K.A , Auto -mop !! The wife is going to send me to therapy , if I keep spending all my money on my jeep!! -
I didn't realize your truck looked almost identical before you painted it . Is it more burgundy or red !! Looking good man !!
-
Nice job on the door panels !! What did you use to clean the doors ??
-
Cool , looks good ! I didn't catch the year ?? Are those black steel jeep wheels ? Did you have to do a SYE conversion ? Sorry for all the Q's .

I know there not the exact offset I need so I get a little rub with the wheel 3/4 over . They are 15x10 w/ 4" offset . I had 15x8.5 w / 2" offset when I first got the truck but they rubbed on the outer fender flairs . I wanted a beffy look out of a set of 31" s, so I went with that option . I have to put up with the rub until I get my big kit . Working on that now . -

First off , thanks !! This is the start of my build I plan on allot of restoration more than modification , however List of things I don't have the chedda' for : 5.5 " Rubicon Express Heavy duty long arm kit . Rebuild my dana 44 rear w/ 411's and ARB lockers . 33" or 35" tires . Armorology front and rear bumpers . SYE kit . SOA conversion. Lots of bells and whistles . :brows: And a big eeefff'nnn horn , so I can clear tourists out the way . -
:rotf: It's funny to me now , because I've lost two bikes that way . Humor is the only way I can suppress the anger .

I don't know of the pic , but I do know back a couple of years ago, I saw a company that sold a really nice kit for custom slated bed work . I used to work in a body shop that we did wood bed for an old 50's chevy truck . That was allot of work . That truck came stock w/ the wood bed , it was so old , it took two or three of us about a week and a half to complete the project . Looked cool as hell !!
-
Wow , looks titties !! I wish I had time to pull of custom shiz like that !!
-
Yeah see " and thats just for engraving , witch is done by computer and machine font . Thats a real light engraving across the surface . I'd make the relief way deep and wide , all thick so it would last the rest of your life !!! Solid , hand made American craftsmanship . Hard to find know a days .
-
:agree: You tell em " how they do it down in Pueblo CO. there Jimoshel " Twenty dude's show up and just cart it off!! I just put low jack on my bikes . Policia will show up at there house "man" :rotf:

Yeah , sure . That's no problem !!! The first design is always the most costly , after that you can replicate them easy enough . I would have to check on some things first . know I know the design . Flat plate isn't too expensive , Initial design would take about 4 hours labor + cost of parts . Cad render about , 2 hours . probably about 120.00 $ for the first one . Less than a third of that after . Sorry , It's probably too pricey , but everything we do here is all custom made either by hand or Cad , then finished by hand. All my customers want something custom made . Not like what everyone else has . I'm giving it a high est. Sorry. Could be cheaper . I think I'll get to work and come up with some cool designs on my own . Just for the club !!!
-
I don't know exactly , but I could make a very close replica . Probably brass and black enamel , white in the headlights and Clear yellow for the windshield . Id have to do some research , but I'll give you a good deal though. The elks tooth is the only thing I have in photobucket right now . Let me know if you want to see more .
-
If you guys want , I have been making stuff like this for years . I can make any design I want , by hand or CAD . I've made ford , cadillac , chevy , dodge . lambo , merc , Astin martin , ferrari , Ext. Pendants , rings , key chains are easy. I've even made big ol' belt buckles . Brass , nickel , bronze , Gold , Silver or platinum , for all you Gangsters out there . WU WU !! Don't have any pics of that stuff , but this is some of my work : This is a piece of Elk's tooth in gold . I have been a metalsmith / Goldsmith and fabricator for almost twenty years. I have Many more pics of stuff like Harley Davidson rings and all kinds of shizle . Let me know !!! Dave M.

A little stick- it- to-the-man-idus, goes a long way. Flat black is that very Icon in witch I stand behind. By the way TN is cool , was stationed in Ft. Campbell for a while . Down there in Clarksville.

Wow " I didn't ever even notice that , I always liked the front grill on the older Mj's Mine was kind of nicked and faded , so I painted it right away . W/ Rustolium , tuff rust spray paint , to protect and clean up the plastic and metal . :brows: I would like to see one of the 8 slot grilles . I kinda like my hardcore look though . I like old school stuff . -
The tires are the size req. for the wheels , but yeah I didn't want to go over 31" , because of rub. Save 'n' up fer the big kit , but there is allot of work that seems to be done before I can get to that point. My future plans include 5.5 heavy duty Re long arm kit , w/ 33" tires . S.Y.E kit and a big friggen horn .

Its cool' but you need a white sportcoat and a pair of wicker sandals like Don in " Miami vice" :rotf: Throw in a pair of hot pink ray-ban's and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. :chillin:
-
Cool toy , good buy , besides its all money anyway . Have fun and build it how you want it . Its better to have lived broke and happy than rich and sad . You should make it all beefy w/ external cage and all that !! Flat Black just says " screw you " to any and all , with there nose in the air .

Thanks , I wanted to keep it amusing . Not just another bunch of pics . I plan on doing allot more to the truck and I find it a challenge to find places all over Colorado to take unique and cool pics . More to come :) -
man can my luck get any worse????
DJM/78 replied to STERLING STINGER's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hey , on the bright side you gonna' learn how to do it all . My wobble is a combination of a bad track bar , control arm bushings , shaty sway bar bushings and empty pockets !! -
Oh ' yeah" , :agree: Not only did it take paint and stain off , It instantly liquified the factory coating on the panels . leaving an almost brand new surface , or better in my opinion . However you can't let it soak , wipe after 5- 10 seconds . It bleached the surface about two shades brighter . I know that stuffs nasty , be quick to wipe it up . :shake:

Cool thing is you have 2 trucks !! So whatever you learn , you can apply to the other truck and vise versa . I agree with cw and peat , Must replace metal !!!! Cut and chop or fab a whole new rig is the best way to invest all your time . beefy is better .
