No I never did. I had multiple people telling me it cannot be done due to really thin walls. So I never pursued it any further.

I had a few d35s. They are 2.75

Axle tube diameter are the same on the 35 and 44; 2.75” wide. so the plates should still fit. as for LSD. I bought an AUBURN geared LSD.

Yeah I’m visiting my friend who lives in Kettle Falls. Flying into Spokane from Philadelphia. Was gonna try to barter a ride to Kettle Falls (his wife works during the day so they can’t come and pick me up. Unless I fly in during the evening. They only have one car). But I got it all worked out. All good now.
