  1. You mentioned the fuel pump motor runs when you jumper the fuel pump relay. With relay removed and jumper in place, does vehicle START and RUN?
  2. Without any proof, yet, I think the charcoal canister not only captures fuel vapors and purges them through the air box, but it also vents the fuel tank to atmosphere since fuel tank filler cap is not vented.
  3. Connector in photo is C102. Should be C102_6 is for Fog Lamp relay, if equipped and should be Splice_H. Between the two (2) electrical manuals "Should be" might become a popular phrase for me.
  4. MJ_1987_Electrical_Manual_1.pdf
  5. If vehicle is NOT equipped with fuel pump ballast resistor, use 3 tab starter relay.
  6. With KEY out and everything connected, check for voltage on the following pins: D1_5 Hot (B+) at all times. D1_6 Nothing.
  7. The LH Door Jamb Switch (DJS) is a dual switch to ground. Test each side of the DJS for a path to ground when door is OPEN. Push pin in and out looking for make/break on your meter.
  8. The question is "How many years/miles down the road do you want it to start collapsing?" Sooner (wo/spring) or later (w/spring).
  9. Upper right hand of screen. Click on Username. Click on Account Settings. Find and click on Signature. Add vehicle information here (YR, ENG, TRANS, etc, etc) and save. This helps everyone. This information will be available every time you post.
  10. Internally you would need, lower gauge wires, in order to handle the increase in current flow. This would apply to everything; Armature, Commutator, Brushes, Field Coil. If you want a bigger burger (12vdc to 24vdc), you need more beef.
  11. Wattage rating. Doubling the voltage, doubles the amperage, since the resistance stays the same. Back to wattage rating.
  12. Fusible links can survive better in a under hood environment (weather wise). If you choose fuses (extra connections), make sure they're well protected. My 0.02¢
  13. Remember its always easier the second or third time you do it, for whatever reasons.
  14. Steam came into my mind also. Might have to follow the story told by the spark plugs. Check them every time you add coolant.
  15. Couple of weeks is a good stretch. How much coolant did you need to add? When engine is up to normal operating temperature, check/watch for air bubbles in the overflow tank.
  16. ^^^^Good advice^^^^ Check the hose between tank and radiator. Fixing the clogged overflow tank and replacing the spark plugs, time for a test drive.
  17. C224 Injector Harness
  18. Automatic Transmission only. Would plug in for TCU use. Add your vehicle to your Signature.

Take them fusible links and hope you'll never need them.
  22. It can get really exciting quickly, when that tubing let's loose under the dash. At least it ain't fuel pressure, but it is hot oil.
  23. Also, make sure the TPS swing arm is correctly positioned on the throttle.
