  1. Your picture show ORG and BLU.
  2. Disconnect or just backprobe them if you can.
  3. Just because I completely understand what I say, doesn't mean others do.
  4. RED & YEL wires show good. ORG wire time. With FP relay still removed, install jumper wire between FP relay pins 30 & 87. No need for KEY ON, circuit will be HOT. Maintain same ground with TL. Probe the following: D1_6 Fuel Injector disconnected (ORG wire) EGR Solenoid disconnected (ORG wire)
  5. Love/loved all my Crown Victoria's. DD-1999, 1992 eaten by salt and my 1976 Landau. Driving around town with that Cr Vic Landau made me feel like I was some kinda pimp. Between 1976 and 1992 came my 1985 CJ7. Drove like a steel roller skate, best go-cart I've ever owned. CJ eaten by salt.
  6. No. Battery post not involved with this, yet. Clip the TL clip to Engine Block (back of head). Then probe those pins.
  7. Here I meant connect the clipped lead of the testlight.
  8. FP relay color code check: 30=RED 86=YEL 87=ORG
  9. Testlight language. BL: Brightly Lit. DL: Dimly Lit. NL: No Lit. HOT AT ALL TIMES: Remove relay, FP relay (30). D1_5. Ground at Engine Block (back of head connection). RED wire testing. KEY ON: Remove relay, FP relay (86), D1_2. Same ground location. YEL wire testing. Lets see what these results are.
  10. That's the little one (pocket size), but it should work just fine for your needs.
  11. I hate to spend more of your money, but can you look into buying a simple 12vdc testlight? When I say simple, I mean something with no battery in it, just a probe, bulb and wire w/clip.
  12. Try cruiser tip: TPS ADJUSTMENT FOR ENGINE ISSUES
  13. Do you have a running light on other side of vehicle with headlight ON?
  14. Watched that video. Man its trying to START.
  15. _mj1988electricalmanual_1.pdf
  16. Timing Lights are pretty obsolete now. I didn't mean for you to go buy one. Money could've went towards another part for your truck. I've just read somewhere that a timing light can help see injector (TBI) spray patterns and I could kinda see what they were saying.
  17. Hook up a timing light and point it down the TB. The strobe effect will freeze the spray pattern. Different spark plug wire (timing light pickup) will give different views.
  18. No, not the timing. Somewhere I read you can hook up a timing light and look at the injector spray pattern while cranking the engine. May have to move pickup to different spark plug wires, but you should be able to see the spray pattern.
  19. Good news to hear this testing went well, only it didn't solve anything. Do you own a timing light?
  20. In this set up once the pump is running, attempt to START vehicle.
  21. What I was looking for is to disconnect the fuel pump from the vehicle wiring and powering the pump right off of the battery. Even another battery would work. Hook plus to plus and neg to neg at the fuel pump connector.
  22. I just want you to be safe. Vapors/static electricity are the danger.
  23. This is extreme testing. CAUTION is needed everywhere. Danger Will Robinson Danger.
  24. No, run battery voltage or use another battery straight to the pump connector in the bucket.
  25. That bucket of fuel, now this getting scary. Can you run battery straight to the fuel pump?
