  2. Lol I turned it into a flag for a while [emoji23] but now it's all black due to my dumba$$ leaving the heatshield off but slapped that back in and dressed it up a tad. Waiting to snag some of the harness holders from the jy to keep it from sagging and repeatimg the shmelting process lol Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  3. Ordered my hitch late last week and got it here in a few days! Slapped a coat of paint and bolted right in! Had to use different bumper mount bolt locations but easy peasy!! Looks amazing!! Thanks again Krustyballer16!! Pleasure doing business!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  4. Been a while since I've posted but have done quite a few things to the truck! Since my whole smog ordeal, I have corrected the dogtracking as well as installed new springs, shocks, and adjustable control arms. After that was the cluster swap and speedo cable (which I fried the first one but the second is still running strong!). Still have to figure out why my oil gauge goes bonkers and why the voltage reads low though. The fuel gauge i believe to be the sending unit but thankfully the coolant sensor is accurate!! And yesterday I installed my new hitch thanks to krustyballer16! And soon I'll have my new headliner thanks to Steve! Next will be the power steering pump and hoses! Thanks all! 5. Thank you sir! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the reply! Did not know that! And yes throttle body shines like a babies bottom and IAC is new but have not looked at it since. Will pop it out after work! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  7. Okay, so it's been a while since I've posted (thankfully since things were going good) but now Ironmanche is giving me some trouble.... Lately it's been randomly stalling out mostly while idling but occasionally it will stall as I pull into work (no crazy turn to make the battery post touch the radiator hose bracket and short which my xj used to do). It used to be once in a blue moon, but today it died pulling into work and multiple times sitting idling afterwards. It starts right back up with no hesitation. When idling, sometimes it sounds as if it skips a beat as if it dies but Its only a fraction of a second and isn't really noticeable but apparently noticeable enough to severely irk me... Its an 87 mj 4.0 2wd aw4. Every culprit I can think of has been replaced well within the last yr. New cps, coil/module, cap/rotor/plugs/wires, new fuel pump with good pressure, new map/tps(but have yet to actually adjust the tps)/IAC, clean throttle body, new emissions hoses. Only thing I HAVEN'T replaced is the actual distributor w/ the pickup coil. Everything else is new. What exactly should I test and what values am I looking for when doing so? Voltage, resistance, etc?? I know before I adjust the tps I have to make sure that I don't have and variance in ohms as I wiggle the harness. Slight variance which is why I haven't quite gotten that far yet. Any help would be much appreciated!!! Thanks all!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  8. Anyone wtb a Speedo cable CA3068 or trade? I need the CA3116 x.x just got the right one from oreillys last night after ordering a week ago and installed it and bam burnt to s#!t x.x shortest lived fix on my manche so far x.x even if anyone has a CA3116 for sale lmk! Thanks all! PFA Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  9. I get that same "ruum ruum" sound in mine... No fluid leak but that noise has been driving me nuts x.x definitely something to check into for me!
  10. Thanks for the heads up! Much appreciated! I'm asking meow lol Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  11. Shoot if it wouldn't be an arm and a leg I'd ask about shipping lol Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  12. Hi all, I'm looking for a camper shell for my long bed Comanche preferably in California lol long shot I know, but worth a shot. Thanks all!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  13. No worries! Definitely good notes to have! After all that evap crap it was as simple as a $2 grommet and $10 valves... Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  14. The part number for the valves is 911-060 and it's Dorman. When I installed the valves it was a little tough at first but a tiny bit of grease and they popped right in and was able to turn and point em in the direction I wanted when I installed them both and ran the breather hose. 15. I actually had gotten the "OE" ones on summit for an outrageous amount of money since I had done next day air to be able to get them in time to do the free retest... Then someone sent me a part number I crossed from AutoZone to oreillys numbers (which were the same) and bam I had em on the shelf the whole dang time x.x the rollover valves I had to order but was able to find those easy peasy in the system. I'll have to get you a PN on the valves tomorrow but I had a pic of the grommets just in case I ever have to do that again lol Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  16. Thank you for the tip and heads up!! Much appreciated!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  17. Thank you so much ParadiseMJ!!! Luckily I work at O'Reillys today and I already found the part number for it!! I had no idea what exactly they were called and was going to ask lol thank you!! I had dropped the tank before and thought they were good but old. Perhaps one might have popped off or broke/torn. Will be dropping the tank and inspecting. I have almost no gap so can't even get my hand up there to feel but shouldn't take very long! I'm hoping I'll be able to get the rollover valves into work by the end of today and be able to just swap it all out tomorrow afternoon after work! You all make learning and working on my truck interesting and fun!! As much of a headache it can be at times x.x but I'd rather learn how to diagnose and fix it myself!! Thank you all once again!!! Hopefully will have good news by tomorrow night!! Will keep everyone updated!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  18. Your gas cap should not vent. Tex06 found this online: The EVAP test ensures that there are no leaks in the hose between the Gas Tank and Charcoal Canister... it that simple. The technician must clamp the end of the hose leading to the canister and pressurize the gas tank with Nitrogen via the EVAP test tool. The EVAP test tool will then calculate the drop in pressure due to any leaks. Technically there should be very little drop in pressure once the gas tank is pressurized. Should there be a pressure loss the machine will fail the EVAP portion of the smog test. Thats exactly it!! Okay so I definitely need to get the push button vent style then because they kept saying it wouldn't hold pressure at all but I always thought they needed to be vented to avoid spray from being over pressurized?? It's a new cap but it does day vented but no idea how it actually vents.. Thank you for the info sir!! I greatly appreciate the help!!! Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  19. Same cap different style venting. I honestly have no idea how the one I have vents although the push vent one is straightforward. Gasket is good also Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  20. This is the push vent one Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  21. I guess it is vented. There is a push vent one should I switch? Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you for the response! How would I check that? Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for the reply tex! I live I'm California so super strict on smog.. They gave me a smog printout with the smog results as well as a simple pass or fail section for a lot of the systems but none were explained just a simple yes or no.. Passed everything but the evap with flying colors.. They said it's the tano not holding pressure but never said exactly what their unit of measurement was unfortunately.. Was really hoping someone on here had the answer to that question.. I know I need to just go ahead and drop the tank and inspect the vent hoses on top of the tank and ports. If I do end up needing the ports would Cherokee ones work?? Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk
