  1. I was looking for something that is just the arms, brackets, and hardware the rest I would be piecing together!
  2. So, I've been looking everywhere for a long arm kit other than the usual (cheap) y-link and was wondering IF there even was a TRUE 4 link (upper and lower control arm) long arm kit??? And also opinions on both. It's going on an 87' lwb 2wd 6cyl auto (hopefully I can find an ax15 before getting enough for a long arm xD) it's gonna be a daily but previous owner did spring swap to soa so now I wanna level it out without going down lol any info/ideas/suggestions are welcome and appreciated!!
  3. Wow lol not how I thought I replied xD I'm still new to the forum and haven't done the whole quoting thing maybe it's my phone. But anyways, thanks for the info!! Only concern was as I was reading I thought the speedo on newer ones came electronic?? If so how do I go about hooking that up?? Also, I don't still need the TCU correct?? And does the oil cooling still use the existing lines that run through the radiator??
  4. Okay, I've long been dreaming of doing the ax15 swap on many of the Cherokees I've owned, but they were all 4wd for the most part. Now I've found myself with a neat 87' Comanche Chief 4.0 2wd with the aw4. I've seen and read about the ax15 swaps and hearing they're fairly easy, BUT most also do the 4wd swap at the same time. Since it's gonna be more of a daily or go to Pismo occasionally I was thinking of keeping it 2wd. My question is if I was keeping it 2wd, what all would I need in order to do the swap? ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS/HELP/KNOWLEDGE/TIPS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! Thanks in advance CC!!
  5. Can someone revive this thread??? I have an 87' with a Dana 35c and the previous owner did the same thing to me x.x ride height measures 13" and extended measures 18" what shocks has someone ran on their similar setup??? I can't find anything with enough travel that's small enough to be able to compress smaller than 13" yet still hit 18" x.x please help!!
  6. Does anyone have the part number?? I tried to get some from oreillys for my 87' and they didn't fit.
  7. And this is already my second lol unfortunately not at the same time x.x I wanna get an XJ to beat up as I slowly rebuild the manche! I wanna do the AX-15 swap, Dana 44 w/ a locker (not sure which one to go with yet) and leave it 2wd cuz I live right next door to Pismo!!
  8. And ahh gotcha! Will look at that! Thank you! And yeeaahh xD its bad xD but in the best of ways!! Lol
  9. Fairly certain swapped the axle its a 35c
  10. Hi! Okay, I've had 8+ Cherokees and had a Comanche before but it was SUA. I picked up an 87 4.0l auto 2wd long bed for $364. But THIS one came on stock tires and SOA leafs. The shocks were blown so I took them off and measured them and they measured 12"-18". I got new ones which measured 13"-21". They still bottom out on the right side x.x is this just a bad spring or am I running too big of shocks which is what I think the problem is cuz the leafs don't seem too bad. I was thinking since they swapped from SUA to SOA and probably used the same shocks that they are just in general too long at 12" compressed. Any suggestions, tips, tricks, or ideas?? Any help appreciated!!!
