When I was attending The University of Madrid, San Sebastion Spain working on my PhD In European history I was particularly interested in the many ways mankind has thru out the ages showed their disapproval of tyranical oppressive governments. Starting with Cain doing in Abel to show his displeasure of his parents, down thru the ages to modern times where we had Monks emulating themselves and students burning the American flag to flying the flag upside down. At least I prefer that to burning it. I started this thread without thinking of where it would lead. IT has gotten some good responses and i hope people thinking. However in retrospect I think it is to political for this site. I am asking for you folks to not post any more replies and let's let it just fade out into the background. Wish I cud type as gooder as I cun spell. Jim :USAflag: :USAflag:

HMMMM,,,Maybe you shud forget the Jeep for awhile and get somebody to work on aunt Tilley. LOL

To prevent any mis understanding I would never fly the flag inverted. I only made the post because of the message it contained. And I think proving a point. That is men can dis agree and nobody takes up arms or calling names. I agree with Automan, JpnJim put it very well.

I hate anything political and really thought long and hard B4 posting that. But dern it, i love this country and hate seeing it go down hill. I spent 13-1/2 years in the military, airborne inf and The Corps. Saw to many good men, many of them not even old enough to drink, legally, pay the price for our freedom to see it squandered by the snob elite, . Gonna wear this soap box out getting on an off it.

How to fix frozen door latches....
jimoshel replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Use the WD 40 to free everything up and get the moisture out. Once it's clean use a graphite base lube. I've had good luck using a motorcycle chain lube.Get it on it sticks. -
Calif is so screwed up there is no way of telling about anything they do or want. I am fortunate in that I live in an area that doesn't have emission testing or requirements, but that kind of leaves me a little ignorant on some of the requirements. I do have all the latest manuals so I do have the info at hand. Just have to look it up.The MJ has 5 holes in the gas tank. One big one the sending unit goes in. It has 2 holes in it. one is fuel to engine and the smaller one is fuel return from engine. Two 1/4 approx. holes for the vents, on opposite corners on top of the tank, And the ones your interested in , one is the filler tube. It's 1-1/2 inches Dia.The other one is the overflow return tube. It's 5/8 in.Both are 10-1/2 in long. I really don't believe some clown, er, I mean some trained emissions specialist is going to dis assemble your fuel system looking for violations. Suggestions. Go on line and order the proper parts. If they won't ship to Ca., don't you know anybody out of state that can get them and send them to you? Get the universal hoses. If they want to know what they're for tell 'em your fixing your aunt Tilly's kitchen sink*. Or sewer line. Geez guy. Use ur brain, imagination.

Handguns are OK, especially for conceal carry and convenience. For home protection I personally prefer a shot gun. I've seen and heard stories where some one high, popped out, or just stupid would challenge a hand gun. Whereas they see a shot gun they sh*t their pants and freeze. Also a SG doesn't require marksmanship. just point and pull,,er,,squeeze. Also pellets won't penetrate a half dozen walls, not a consideration in the country. Discussing weapons, guns, is just like politics an women. Everybody has their own opinions and reasoning. So let's get the debate rolling and please keep it polite. Jim. Life member NRA, owner of over 3 dozen guns, avid sportsman and shooter of trespassers. Incidently, my favorite weapons are the colt 1911 .45 and the Garand M1 .30 :clapping:

You're both in Dallas, altho Dallas is 50 miles across. Go look at it, pop ur hood and compare. For that price I'd consider geting it for back up or trading stock.

A 5% tinted windshield for my '88 Manche from my GF A set of custom carved walnut grips for my 1911 .45 A set of high compression spark plug wires, yellow. A litre of Jim Beam from my neighbor.

Don't ask for a hose for a particular make, model. Measure the neck of the tank or filler .They sell universal replacement hose by the foot. They don't know , or care if it's going on a emissions vehicle or a exempt farm tractor or storage facility. Just ask for gas hose and specify ID and how much. Normally they only sell by the foot, one foot minimum. However depending on how well you know the clerk or how willing they are to accomadate ya, they'l let ya look in their scrap pile. For pieces less than a foot.

A rather ugly man walks into a bar with a big grin on his face, and orders a draft beer. "What are you so happy about?", asks the Bartender. 'Well, I'll tell you,' replies the ugly man. 'As you know, I live by the railroad tracks. On my way home from the bar, last night, I noticed a young woman tied to the tracks, just like in the films. I, of course, went and cut her free, and took her back to my place. "Anyway, to make a long story short, I scored big time! We made love all night, all over the house. We did everything: me on top, sometimes her on top, every position imaginable!" "Fantastic, you lucky bastard!", exclaimed the Bartender. "Was she pretty?" "Don't know. Never found the head..."
