It's an "86. 2.8 engine. five speed tranny. 4WD. I got a Warn 8,000 lb winch I'm trying to sell or do something with it. Just trying to see how it wud look in that hole. Electric.

Hey guy. Thanks. Notice the dent in the tailgate? Brother in law did that when we were unloading it. Other wise there was'nt a thing wrong with it.

Got me a new Comanchee. Actually I got 3 but this one is something. A couple days ago a fella came buy and heard I was interested in Comanchees. He had a couple he was tryin to sell. Told him I wasn't interested and was tryin to get rid of the ones I had. Long story short, he had 3 of them and I got all three. Two of them were junkers but the thierd was a jewel. Was last registered in 2000 and has been sitting ever since. Speedo reads 70,000. I spent a half a day cleaning it up. It was used for sorage and junk collecting. Got a battery and tried to start it. Oh Boy. After 10 minutes it caught. Sounded terrible. Knocks, rattles, thunks. I started to shut it off butt figured what the heck. Just see what happens. After io or so minutes it caugrrt and fired. Holy smokes, thing sounded terrible. Long story short. I been running it every chance I get. Still got the old gas in it. At first it ran terrible, had to keep the gas peddle depressed or if would die. Been starting every chane I got for the last couple days. Every time it would run a little better. Finally got the old gas out or it and filled it with 5 gal of fresh gas. Changed the oil. That thing is running like a new one. Cleaned it up a little bit and the upholsrery is like new. Got me another Jeep MJ. Going to try to get some pics later.

Got a couple dozen speedos sitting on the shelf. Better go check them.

The last time I looked I had a set of brackets. Are they the same between long and short?

I like that idea.

Won't be the first time I've got a part and it was't right.

JEEZ Jim. You must be getting old. Acouple years ago you'd be all over that thing.

Try using a cardboard around the armature to hold the brushes out. When the armature is started remove the cardboard. That sounds so simple that there is something I'm missing.

Too many people place so much trust in their speedometers that they overlook the actual mileage of a vehicle. A car with 50,000 thousand on it that's been horribley abused will be much worse off than a a vehicle with 150,000 miles that has been well taken care off.

OK. I knew it was somebody I know but just couldn't put a name on them. I didn't mind so much when the body quit working but the mind. A whole new matter.

A couple months ago, I ram a ad for a 1986 MJ.A fella contacted me and I agreed to hold the Jeep for a while. Without going into what's on my mind, I can't think of who the guy is. If you contacted me about a 1986 MJ please get ahold of me at once.

I went and checked and I do have hitch. Between my mind slipping and careless book keeping I couldnt find the original mail from him. Now to let him know.
